Hamlin Pub — Restaurant in Independence Charter Township

They offer 1/2 priced pizzas on Thursdays. So we thought we'd give them a try. The pizza is excellent! Lots of fresh ingredients with a delicious crust. My wife ordered a side salad which was generous and had plenty of fresh ingredients. We also had a very nice onion soup appetizer. I'll have to try some of the other menu items because they obviously know what they're doing in the kitchen. But there's more. This is a roomy, well appointed pub, featuring a large oval bar and numerous tables. There is also a stage featuring live music front and center. Both times I've been there it's been two musicians; one on lead guitar and one on acoustic and vocals.Very entertaining! The atmosphere in the pub was light and fun as the patrons (ranging from 5 years old to 65 years) interact with the musicians. There are more than a few families present. They have a large constantly rotating selection of beers on draft. The waitresses are freindly, quick and efficient. We've just moved to the Clarkston area, so we're having a good time finding good restaurants, breweries and entertainment is the area. The Hamlin Pub is...

I had a very good time here with my family. It is definitely a bar/ pub type atmosphere so go there with those expectations. Between me and my family, we tried boneless wings, nachos, a large southwestern style salad, mozzerrella sticks, and their spinach and artichoke dip.

We loved the boneless chicken. Out of all the sauces we tried, the 2 alarm is AMAZING. It's got a kick tho so beware. The nachos are HUGE and can definitely be split by 2 people minimum. Especially if you have other appetizers/food. Everything else was good but didn't necessarily blow us away. I also had a Moscow mule that tasted fantastic.

The appetizers were quick to arrive, however the food took around 30 min (after the apps) which felt like quite awhile. But in the end we all enjoyed what we ate, and also our server was very nice. And she was quick to get drinks and clear the table.

I would definitely come back here if I'm looking for a nice bite to eat, with a good atmosphere. They also have live music on...

Whoever Jake the manager, Head Chef, or Kitchen Lead is, definitely needs to be retrained. Ordered something very simple- Mac n ‘ Cheese with angus beef. I rarely eat this kind of stuff anymore, so was looking forward to it, especially from the picture that they displayed. (1st photo is what they want people to think it will look like)

Mac n’ Cheese had no cheese, barely any beef, just dry noodles out the pot with some breadcrumbs. I attempted to address it with Jake and he took no responsibility and had no empathy that I wasted my money on this. Sad because I was on the phone and not in front of him. It’s really unfortunate that customer service has gone down hill so bad that restaurants don’t know how to properly deal with customers mostly cause they don’t own the bar and are so arrogant they think the wheels will keep turning and dont prepare quality food.
