Foley's Sportsmens Inn — Restaurant in Independence Charter Township

The attention of the bartenders at night was horrible. First I sat at the bar on the back side in the dining area. I sat there for about 8 minutes and saw a seat on the other side and moved. I sat near Michele there was a seat between us her husband went to the bathroom. I sat there for 5 minutes and then a gentleman came up next to me and the bartender with long darker hair asked if he needed anything he said yes it was a carry out and she helped him and cashed him out. Not once she asked me if she could help me. There was nothing in front of me. Then she noticed the couple on the other side of me and helped them. Then a couple sat next to me and she took a minute for her to get yo them. The clue was nice and we talked and they asked me how was I was doing and I said it would be nice if I can I get greeted. I told them exactly what happened and they said that was sad. Then the bartender with the long darker hair asked them can I help you and remind you I am right next to them with Nothing or a hi for 15 mins on this side. The gentleman man go you can help her first. I got my drink but not even an hi. Then she asked if I needed a menu and I Said yes please. Then she came back and asked me again if I needed a menu I said yes please 5 minutes went by still no menu. Then I finally got her attention and said I am hungry can I get food. He response was I am sorry I spacing out. Worst service ever and I do come the every now and then because the food and people are awesome. Both night bartenders noticed me but said nothing until the guest next to made them help me. I felt like I was not welcomed because I was the only single person thay I could sew. Customer Service is everything is so important and it sucked so bad. My friends want to try your place but I told them of my experience and they will else where. They should treat people they same hi or by and thanks for coming oh yeah I didn't get that. I am a single mom who works hard and at school district so my night out are rare. I should have been treated with respect and acknowledged. It sad I felt like I was nothing thanks to the bartenders. Word of mouth travels far and I am sad to say the service was awful. I must say this is not what I have experienced as the norm, as I do typically receive great food and great service in here, however I am not sure what is going on here at this point. The past 2-3 times I have been in the food and service seem to be lacking. I went in tonight to have one of their awesome pizzas.......where it begins....... First I walked in around 8:15 pm. I was not greeted for nearly 5 minutes and finally the bartender said go ahead and sit where you want. I was promptly met by the waitress to take my drink order. I got my drinks promptly. The waitress then took our order we ordered deep fried ravioli and a build your own pizzas and ask the waitress for a keno slip (I do realize keno is lowest priority) the waitress said sure, I will get you some slips.....she did not until we asked again 20 minutes later. I the meantime our appetizers were on there way out. The waitress brought them out and as she was setting them on the table spilled my drink all over me. The waitress quickly went to get a towel as I'm trying to keep my drink on the table not my lap. The waitress returned with a towel started wiping the table and decided she needed more towels went and got them and continued to clean the mess, never once offering me anything to dry myself off. I finally asked if I could use one to try to dry myself off. So I had ordered the pizza well done and yeah here it comes. Apparently well done means burnt as about half of the bottom crust was as black as can be. I was offered a new one, however at this point I had had it and told the waitress no on the new pizza. She wisked it off my table quickly returned with my bill and sat it on the table without any sorry for all the mishappenings or anything. This is not in anyway shape or form the way I am used to be treated when I go out for dinner. I have been going here for the better part of 20 years and have never felt such disappointment from here and believe it will be quite some time before I will return. My money will...

We visited Foley's this weekend as we wanted to try somewhere new, and the pics posted on here looked amazing. That being said, the pics on here are VERY deceptive. But let's start with the good things. Lance was our server, and he was awesome. Very attentive, very much exactly how you would want your server to be. Dude was just good at his job. The decor was really nice as well. We sat in the Window room, and it whomever designed that earned their money ten times over. It was really well done. Now to the food. I ordered the motz sticks based on a picture posted on here fully expecting home made fresh cut amazing motz sticks. What I got was fresh from a GFS box motz sticks that every other boring place serves. I was disappointed. I also ordered the NY Burger, and it appeared to be a frozen beef patty without any seasoning that I could tell, a couple strips of bacon and a slice of prepackaged cheese. The bun was grilled but it was practically burned. It may be petty, but it appears that they refill the Heinz ketchup bottles with non Heinz ketchup. Don't do that. If you are going for cost savings, I get it but OWN your decisions. Do not deceive your guests. The fries were actually decent to my surprise. So many people in here post how amazing the food is, but I just didn't see that at all. To me, it felt like the quality of the food had gone downhill to to cutting costs compared to what others posted.
