We called ahead a week in advance for a table of 10 to stop by and eat before we headed to pine knob for a concert. When we showed up around 300pm , the restaurant had maybe 20 people in there eating at max and what seemed to be a full staff. We sat down and got our orders placed almost immediately, however It took us over 45-55 minutes to get our food and drinks after we placed our orders. We didn't order anything extravagant. Just some sandwiches and wings. I ordered my first beer and watched it get poured and sit on the bar for over 30 minutes before it came to me . I reminded the waitress about it (which she forgot) and handed it to me within moments. After the long wait for food, we finally were able to eat. My order was wrong. I asked for loaded poutine fries, and I got some other loaded fry that i didn't even see on the menu. I'm not a picky eater. I'll eat whatever, but the difference between $7.99 for loaded fry and $13.99 was the problem. I was charged the full amount for something I didn't order, nor was I offered the price to be honored or it to be removed. My French dip sandwich was mediocre at best. It was almost like the sandwich came pre-cooked and frozen , put in a microwave wrapped, then served to me. The best part about my meal was, sadly, the Au Jus. I was not impressed at all. Then, while I was eating my mediocre meal, I ordered 1 more beer. Again, my beer sat at the bar for over 30 min to the point i did not want it anymore, but I did bc I was charged for it, and the bill was already paid. So when I went to ask the waitress for my beer (for the second time of the night)... she looked at me with a straight face ... pointed at the bar and said, "Your beer is over there." I asked her, " Am I supposed to get my own beer from the bar?" She looked at me, face turned red, rushed over to the bar, whispered between three waitress and pointed at me, and then had one of them deliver my beer. The whole experience here was displeasing. Between wait staff , food , and long wait times, I will more than likely not be back. I was embarrassed to bring my uncle from out of town here. I wad Thinking it was going to be a great place to go to eat and drink before the concert, and we probably would have had better service from a fast...
Read moreWe went after the DMB concert on 7/7/15...we couldn't find anyone serving food in town and they were at least serving fried apps. so we went in around 11:45pm..only 1 other person inside (being in the industry we felt bad but were hungry). Shanna was working Bar and Rich was MOD (the GM). both greated us and were super nice. shanna had a great sense of humor and ran down the short list of apps and Rich chimed in and said that he could do a small greek or cobb salad if we didnt want fried food (above and beyond mentality...awesome). my wife ordered a small greek salad...it was great and we got wings and potato skins. temp and flavor was great and we had great conversations w both Shanna and Rich....we talked restaurants befor we left. I hate when people show up when you are shutting down but the reality of the rest biz is that u set hours for a reason (the food was standard bar fair...but the service, friendly and warm greet and the willingness to go the extra mile is what makes standard fair GREAT)...so when someone walks in no matter what time it is u treat them as if its noon lunch rush...same food, same smile, same professionalism....and Shanna and Rich nailed it. thank you both for your hospitality. PS...when u do walk in last min...tip BIG...reward good...
Read moreOrdered medium rare came out close to raw ... Ask for a recook next Burger was well done and burnt ... Really seem to be spite on behalf of the kitchen... After 30 years in the in the restaurant business and I know of what I speak ... Poor form Mr. B's
Since this is the only way I can respond to what you wrote so be it ..... What do I find interesting or weird as you put it is your choice to use sarcasm in your response and the misrepresentation of what I said or your blatantly misreading it, I stated it seemed like spite also close to raw and a burger out of the refrigerator is completely different. The fact that one could smell how overcooked the second burger was before I even broke in to it is an indication of poor attention and I ask you even if there was pink left in the middle of one of the two as you say, Is that how a medium rare burger is properly prepared ?
One last thing I hope you didn't hurt your foot when you stomped it and said that my review is rubbish and we will not accept my so called...
