I was in the past Monday, I believe the 20th, for lunch around 12:30 and I was pretty shocked by the management. This is all coming from the perspective of someone who has been in the restaurant business so I feel I'm more understanding than someone who has not been a part of this industry. I've never even felt the need to write a review before. To start off one of the servers greeted me almost immediately in between bringing drinks to her tables. She was very attentive and helpful as I brought a friend here for the first time. Our food took a while to get to us despite the fact we hadn't ordered anything that needed actual cooking (we had hummus as an app and a salad for our meal...love the hotsauce they offer with it). It seemed to be a problem with the kitchen, but that's not why I came to write this review. Between the servers taking multiple tables, running their food, and helping around the front there were two employees sitting at one of the booths on their phones and chatting to each other while completely ignoring the chaos that was occurring around them. Considering they were not dressed like the servers I would have to assume they were management or hosts. One was brunette and the other blonde. I would have to guess management as there was a girl behind the counter also helping the servers out. It was shocking to watch them sit around so easily while other workers seemed to be working their butts off to stay attentive to the people dining. Perhaps if management wasn't sitting around on their phones we would have gotten our food on time and they would have dealt with whatever issue was occurring in the kitchen. The food was good, but not as great as it previously has been especially with the time wait. But because of the staff that was actually appearing to put effort into their job we'll still give this...
Read moreI love Aladdins! And Sittoos. I was a long time Westsider and patronized Sittoos every Sunday. Now that I moved East, I patronize this Aladdins location often. I treated one of my friends to lunch as she had never tried Lebanese cuisine before this. She got the Cranberry Salad. It was beautiful and she said the chicken was well seasoned and perfectly cooked. I had the Flavor Savor Platter. It came out room temperature, yet the chicken, hummus, rice and salata were delicious. The beef Kafta was well seasoned but over cooked. As always, the garlic and hot sauce were amazing. We started with the fried cauliflower. It was well seasoned, crispy and delicious. The pita was soft and yummy as always. The olive oil added that umph. Next time I'll ask for a sprinkle of zaatar. I also had a tropical smoothie and hot mint tea. The strawberry cake was so light and not too sweet. Our server was super busy as she was handling multiple tables, but friendly and efficient.
My only gripe was that there was another server sorting silverware at the empty table next to us. She was throwing it across the table and making so much noise. We couldn't talk over her. Before we could say something, the hostess who greeted us came from the back and signaled her back to the kitchen. I appreciate that the staff were professional about handling it.
I love that Aladdins is local, family owned, healthy and...
Read moreFood always amazing. New guy who helped with my pickup was very sweet, he didn't say but had a question so I knew it was probably his 1st day. I was almost out the door, stopped quick to check and had 1 small pita. I paid for 1 extra.... my soup, hummus, and 3 other items (4 items should have had pita included-unless it changed) were fine - but went up, asked for pita... Said I had only 1, which i paid extra for, and got a look like i was asking for free stuff from 2 other employees, girls... who smiled and put #2 in my bag. I wasn't going to be extra about it, assuming maybe it was buried or in my soup bag, and that 2 small bags were fine for the first meal (yes, I way over order because I want everything and am sad that buying more isn't safe or whatever- cause I might pick at it longer than the 3-4days I already do). I grabbed extra veg to chop and finished the last bit of my chicken salad, cauliflowers, etc... with rye bread (sad, but going back for pita was a fantasy).... If the pita policy changed, you should have a sign... If I should have gotten like 4-5 small bags- then I am hurt by the side eye and will have to be extra every time.... Mr Karen Pita .... I am not that guy, but its painful to run out - it's like serving pizza with no...
