I will not ever step foot in a chipotle again. This location has ruined it for all of them. I was there today around noon and saw an employee pick up rice that was on the counter and throw it back in the container with the rest of the rice. When I told him that is not right or sanitary he said he did not do it. I told him yes you did I just watched you do it. His response was “if I did do it the counter was clean” nope wrong answer. No it’s not clean no one had cleaned that counter off prior to you throwing the rice back in to the container. He then tells me “ if you don’t like what I do then get out of here and take your business else where. I asked to speak to the manager and he points to the lobby. I walked up to the young lady and ask her if she was the manager. She was sitting at the table looking at her phone. She says yes I’m the manager. I ask her can I make a complaint she says yes. I explain to her the details that just happened. She gets up and ask who it was I showed her who he was. Managers gives me a blank stare. I then ask for his name she says she can’t do that. I ask how can I make a complaint when I don’t know employees name. I ask her is she going to talk to him? she tells me that he doesn’t act like that so it’s hard to believe that he did that. Ok I will be reporting this situation to corporate. Ok that’s what you need to do. Again blank stare from management. For some reason I don’t even think she was the manager. I didn’t see any names so that I could report to management. I will be following up with corporate. I’m completely thrown by his response and very upset. Someone also needs to check there 6ft social distance. It’s not implemented at all. Way to many people standing in line not 6 ft apart. The only thing that is implemented is to wear your mask. I’m hoping someone in higher management will respond back. I will continue to call corporate to voice my complaint. Shake my head on you Chipotle poor customer service! 0 ...
Read moreI like this chipotle for their flavoring. But they charge extra for every little thing. Their portions are never the same. They charge $1.00 for one extra scoop of rice. You can not give me 1 and 1/2 scoop of rice to balance out the other ingredients. Then give me a sprinkle of meat and cheese. Doesn’t make any sense at all. They get attitudes for asking for a little extra cheese. It’s ridiculous. Never order Online from here either. Every time it’s horrible. I remember I paid $24 for a bowl, extra rice, and double meat. I got none of those. So tired of this location. I came in again for my kids. They only eat the rice. Usually it’s $1.25 for a bowl of rice. I had a woman charge me $3 each for a bowl of rice total $6. I never asked for an extra side of rice for both bowls and the guy never added extra. But he decided to add two Xs on the bowls. I asked for a bowl of the regular amount. So I told them I’m not paying for that because he never game me double rice. I asked for a manager. The supposed manager wanted to argue with me in front of employees so I asked her to give me the receipt so that I have it for reference, she threw it in the trash and told me that I can not have the receipt. I asked her can I have the rice to take a picture. She said no. I paid for the rice and my food and left with nothing. I took a picture of the food that she charged me for. How can you tell me no? What type of mess is this? So all in all CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS AND YOUR TOTAL. I come here a lot since it’s the only one in this location. AND ITS DIFFERENT EVERY-TIME. Some of the employees know me and my order well since I’m a regular. But this time I was very disappointed. I even contacted CS and no one...
Read moreI’ve never been more disappointed in a Chipotle experience than I was at the Independence, MO location. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that this location was poorly managed and understaffed. The line was moving painfully slowly, and the employees seemed overwhelmed and disorganized. Despite this, the manager, George, was nowhere to be found helping his team. When he finally did show up, he seemed more interested in chatting with employees in the back than actually stepping in to address the chaos unfolding in front of customers.
The food quality was another major letdown. The rice was cold and undercooked, the chips were stale and soggy, and the portions were laughably small compared to other Chipotle locations I’ve visited. It felt like no effort was made to ensure the food was fresh or prepared properly. To make matters worse, when I brought up the issues with my meal to George, his attitude was completely unprofessional. He was dismissive, curt, and didn’t even offer an apology or solution. It was clear he had no interest in making things right or ensuring customers had a good experience.
The dining area wasn’t much better. Tables were dirty, trash cans were overflowing, and the overall atmosphere felt chaotic and uninviting. It’s disappointing because I’ve had great experiences at other Chipotle locations, and this one was a stark contrast.
This visit was enough to make me think twice about ever returning to this location. If this is the standard of service and quality at the Independence, MO Chipotle, I’d rather take my business elsewhere. Chipotle, you need to take a serious look at the leadership at this location—George and his team are doing your brand a...
