Chick-In Waffle — Restaurant in Independence

Went to their booth at Santicaligon and got Nashville chicken strips and fries. It was in no way, shape, or form "Nashville chicken". As soon as they handed it to me, I knew it wasn't Nashville because it was plain chicken with a cup of sauce and Nashville IS NOT a sauce. I did taste the sauce, just hoping it would at least be good and it was flat out disgusting. It was weirdly sweet, watery, and loaded with just cayenne pepper. The 5 other people I was with also tasted it and every single one said it was nasty. My nephew said it tasted like they put water in a really sweet, bad barbecue sauce. The chicken itself was okay, I guess. Not any better than literally any other strip. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the fries were nice and seasoned well. I definitely wouldn't ever eat there again. Any chicken place that doesn't even know what Nashville is doesn't...

They changed the menu to be more complicated, renamed things, and the only visable menu is above the counter which makes it less accessible and contests the line with people trying to complete a mental engineering degree just to figure out the layout and formatting of the new menus. Don't call it chicken in a waffle if you renamed your main menu items to chicken in a box and separate dthe sauce and waffles as a side. It defeats the concept plus not everything they have is on the menu. The shake or wrap you saw once on the door? Yeah. Not on the menu. Not at the counter. Worst customer service placed a order to go pick it up got home and noticed I was missing some food so I had someone go pick it up for me and even forwarded the receipt. By mistake I had Ordered 2 piece chicken strip with fries instead of 4piece. Went ahead and paid the difference to make it 4piece. My friend asked both employees if it was a 4 piece and not a 2 piece both guys said yes . Gave it to my son and still ended up being a 2 piece so both times they messed up my order and I can't even call up there because it's just a machine no real person.
