I arrived at the restaurant location / drive through at approx 6:35-6:40pm, with what appeared to be 2 cars ahead of me -- the one at the drive thru order speaker, and then one additional. I am not sure how many cars were ahead of the vehicle ordering. From my receipt, it shows my order was taken at 6:49pm, which means it took ~10 minutes to process 2 cars.
From the 6:49p receipt, I paid for my meal at 7:09pm (20 minutes), then waited at the pickup window for another 4 minutes. During this wait time for my food to actually be given to me, I initiated a phone call to the store since the receipt said "For questions or concerns, please contact the manager on duty" ... I am still on that phone call as I type this, waiting for the manager to pick up my call. It is 7:23pm and I've been on this call for 15 minutes now.
This is absolutely embarrassing service. I have had poor service times (and incorrect orders) from this location in the past, but no longer. After talking with my wife once I arrived home, we both agreed that Popeyes just does not care about customer service. Update 11.21.2021
Gave this location another try recently and another embarrassing display in their lack of service. After waiting in the drive in thru line for 20 minutes, my family ordered chicken tenders for my kids and received regular chicken. When calling to the location multiple times (no one picked up after 3 attempts for several minutes), a manager finally picked up and after explaining the situation, he said if I returned, I could only get a refund or chicken. I asked for the chicken complimentary for our wait time, plus having to drive back to the local store which is 10-15 minutes away. He said I get to choose, I only get my order correct or a refund - "You cannot have both." I asked if I could get some sort of refund for my time, as it would be a total of an hour lost of my time. "You cannot have both."
This manager needs to learn customer service, or he will lose many more customers (in...
Read moreThis is the location closest to my house. Usually it runs moderately well. Not great, but serviceable. However, the past two visits have been troublesome. A few weeks ago I went through the drive thru. They were busy inside and out so I didn't hold up the line to go bag-by-bag through the order before driving away (my mistake). When I got home one person's entire order was missing (main, sides, etc). Since I couldn't go back to the store I called in and spoke to someone who said they were a manager. She apologized and took my information along with the details of the missing items and said my info was "in the book" and could be redeemed on my next visit. This past weekend I went into the location. I placed a partial order at the counter and explained that I had items "in the book" that I also wanted to get at that time. The young man asked the manager on duty to finish my order. She was immediately unpleasant (they were clearly short staffed so I gave her the benefit of a bad day and just stayed polite). She pulled out "the book". I gave her my name and the date of the original order. There was nothing. I genuinely saw that there was nothing noted anywhere in the book, she even looked on the sheets before and after the date in question. Nothing. At this point she snapped at the young man who was originally talking my order to "just give her whatever". He didn't immediately hear her, and when he asked her to repeat she snapped back at him that I was lying and she didn't want to deal with it, so just give me whatever. I stayed polite, and even offered to pay for the extra sandwich they made mistakenly thinking it was part of my original missing order, but he said he couldn't let me pay for it. He bagged up my food and I left. I can't say I'll not go back to this location, but from now on I will always be "that patron" who goes through every single bag in my order to make sure it's all in there before...
Read moreLess than 5% of my reviews are negative. This review is, unfortunately, in this 5%. Here's why: my family and I have been coming since it opened. We love Popeyes and were very excited for this one to open. We live 75 miles north and always go to this location when in the KS City area. We have eaten here countless times since my son plays hockey nearby. However, recent visit on 2/21/22 was abhorrent. It was about 3 PM. The place was semi-busy and every open table was dirty. I had clean my own table. The whole place was not clean with garbage in floors etc. They were out of several items that made our visit not good. I was celebrating with son who played his last hockey game for high school. We have been coming to Popeyes since my son could walk (use to live down South), and it is always our place to go for special occasions and enjoy some "father-son time." This time, it wasn't so special!!! I've been a loyal customer for 40 years, but, but BUT it may not make 41 years This time the service and the food was much worse than previous visits.
You were out of the following: spicy tenders, Ketchup, honey mustard, and other sauces, several soft drinks (diet coke and others), no Cajun rice (BRING IT BACK POPEYES!). The mashed potatoes tasted, well, awful, and the tenders we received were fried weirdly and seemed to be all breading. Oh, I got tea from behind the counter but tasted funny also. Ok, I know things run out but not to this level. Come on Popeyes, I don't want to...
