The food tasted rancid. Calamari came out as fast as we ordered it, and tasted way to fishy for fried calamari (spit it in my napkin did not eat it). The side salad, I actually ate , and liked the house dressing but ended up vomiting it up afterwards in front of the building in the fetal position on the floor of my mothers SUV and then it continued nonstop all night long and into this morning. The entrees also came out unreasonably quickly for being cooked in a restaurant. The spaghetti and meatball with redsauce was the worst of it all. There was a ton of spaghetti, but it seemed to have an orange tint to it, and it tasted old and the sauce tasted like it was freezer burnt and had gone bad or something (spit it in the napkin) I ordered the manicotti and didn't even attempt to try it My mother and I did not swallow any of the food except for the bread, side salad, and drink. I had ginger ale and she had a non-alcoholic Arnold Palmer. And i stilled ended up sick and i mean SICK .... puked all night long and into the morning The food was literally inedible. The place was dark and smelled weird. Probably should have taken that as our first clue that and there was only 1 other table there, but it was only like 430 so thought we just beat the dinner crowd.
Our server was kind, and kept our drinks filled. She did not charge us and we of course tipped her.
I will never go back to this place. My hope is that the establishment sees this review and does a major clean out of the food, and makes sure it is all up to par before someone else gets sick or they end...
Read moreWent on recommendations-Not impressed! Wished we hadnt but had anniversary dinner here. at 445pm -not real busy. 4 tables upstairs but wait staff overwhelmed, drop off things and disappear. We ordered calamari appetizer. 10 quarter sized rings came only warm but overcooked-coco brown and hard crunchy, no flavor but burnt breading . Gave benefit of the doubt, Ordered tour of Italy for 2. Ordered extra side dressing for salad...extra dressing forgotten til entee came. Waitress said "oh i forgot your extra dressing. well, it's better this way, you know they charge you extra 75cent for it". Both entrees came only lukewarm at best: Large plate with lasagna, spaghetti, ravioli, large stuffed pasta, and meatball. The whole plate had two colors & flavors notes; doused in one sweet tomato sauce and the same one flavor cheese in and melted on everything. Pasta, the meat in lasagna, the meatball nor the ravioli had any flavor. No garlic, herb, salt, bkack or red pepper, nothing. My daughter made better tomato sauce when she was 8yo. Good points: Tiramisu was good: flavor good & good proportion for price. House Moscato wine was good. House bread was good and warm. Overall, the appetizer and meal was complete waste of money. Others think it's great but I cannot...
Read moreWe went here with a group of 15 people for dinner after graduation from IUP. One main reason we picked this place was because of the large gluten free menu. Get there they have eliminated all gluten free items from the menu last year. Really... then take it off your menu and website. Ironically though the shrimp scampi which was one item that was gluten free turned out to be the best meal of the group at a Italian place! Waiter Zach was great and did the best he could under the circumstances. I never have written a review before but just want to warn people not to bother going here. The food was disgusting, poor quality, pre-cooked and barely reheated. The stuffed shrimp with crab wrapped in bacon was not edible. Pasta is definitely not homemade and a some entrees came out cold as though they were taken out of the fridge and forgot to heat up. Sausage looked like an old dried up cigar on the plate and COLD. Prime rib was a joke looked like Salisbury steak. Worst meal...
