I run a summer camp that serves individuals with physical, intellectual, and cognitive disabilities. For a special movie night, we planned to place a large pizza order—7 pizzas and drinks totaling well over $150. When I first called Vocelli’s, I was told delivery to our camp was possible. But then I was transferred to the General Manager, who flat-out refused and unwilling to work with us, claiming we were "too far"—despite initially being told otherwise.
What followed was not just disappointing, but downright shameful. Instead of offering any reasonable solution, the manager tone-deafly suggested we use a third-party delivery app—knowing full well this would raise the cost by nearly $70. The same order through DoorDash came to $223.46 before tip.
To make matters worse, Vocelli’s often promotes how much they care about their small town and local values (found on their website)—but when given the chance to support a local summer camp doing meaningful work, they failed completely. They refused to serve the very community they claim to care so deeply about.
Out of principle, I contacted another pizza shop that’s even farther away than Vocelli’s. They delivered without hesitation, and the total—tip included—was only $154.34. No hoops. No excuses. Just genuine service.
Vocelli’s didn’t just lose a large order—they lost all of my future business, both personal and professional. Turning away a big order from a local camp for people with disabilities, then shamelessly recommending a predatory third-party app, isn’t just bad business—it’s a failure of compassion, community, and...

This kind of service goes a long way, I am greatly appreciative, thanks.
Disappointed at best, and offended at worst.
I ordered and paid online and picked it up in person. I stood there, the only person near the register, for 5-10 minutes without even being acknowledged. Thankfully, someone eventually noticed me and got my order together. It took them a bit, as they didnt seem to know what was going on and had trouble finding all of my food. Thanks to that guy though.
I get it home, and the breadsticks ($8) are practically uncooked. The inside was super doughy, you could've clumped it into a ball and shot hoops with it or something.
I also got a salad($12.74) and there's a bunch of mystery fluid at the bottom, the whole container was literally dripping with mystery liquid. (Probably pickling juice from the peppers). Nevertheless, my salad was starting to wilt before I even opened it
The pizza($24.69) was mid at best, and I can't tell if it has the Romano I ordered on it. $4 for a 2 liter seems excessive.
Props to their marketing department though, because the pictures and website make their food/service quality look way better than...
Read moreI ordered a large pepperoni pizza and a steak Stromboli from here today 01/12/2025. They just opened and I welcome new local businesses to Indiana. As of this date, it seems that they still need to figure out some kinks and other small things with business management and food preparation. There were multiple hairs in the Stromboli and the middle was still cold, cheese unmelted, and dough was still raw. So I think they need to tweak the oven temps or have them in for a bit longer before serving. And wearing hair nets would be preferred. Once put in our oven at home for 15 minutes at 425 it was delicious. The pepperoni pizza was just fine though. No issues and it was delicious. Prepare for a Wait time of over an hour, and also prepare to have to pick up your food, or cancel your order because they do not have a reliable delivery driver as of the writing of this post. I think once they have been in business for a bit, and work the new business kinks out they will be great as they are great on price and the service seems great! Very inviting atmosphere when entering. I look forward to trying again in about 6 months-year to see how they have improved or implemented some changes. Very happy to have them in town, if I’m more satisfied with the next order, I will...
