China Star — Restaurant in Indiana

Not sure if it's an off day or what but it was NOT a good experience. Called in to place our office's lunch order. The woman on the phone was short with me and wouldn't listen. I asked for 3 lunches: 1 - Chicken with Peapods & no mushrooms, 2 were the exact same - Chicken fried rice add all the vegetables, and added soup to all 3. When I hung up the phone I said out loud it will be a miracle if that order is correct when we get it. Boss gets back with order - the 2 are completely wrong it's chicken, fried rice and eggs, and we've been shorted soup. I call back and get the same woman who took our order. I tell her what's happened and she argues with me and says soup doesn't come with the lunches. I said it doesn't matter I ordered 3 and you gave me 2 and shorted me on the veggies. She says to come back in and they'll give us our missing vegetables and we can pay for another soup. I ask if they'll give us enough veggies for both orders since both had nothing and she said yes. I say soup and she says order it when you get here and hangs up on me. Coworker drives back over and goes out to her vehicle to find they gave her the wrong bag. She has an entirely different order. She goes back in and gets the right order, comes back with a small bowl of peas, carrots and bean sprouts, enough for 1 order and not at all the vegetables we asked for. The last 4 times they have screwed the orders up. Not sure what's going on. Can't even blame it on being short staffed as there were several in the kitchen. I understand they're doing carryout only right now but dang. I'm done giving...

This place is a hit or miss kind of place . After our last visit we are done eating here . It was right before dinner time and the food should be hot and fresh , but it was everything but that ! Everything we had was very cold . The food has no seasoning/ flavor. I don't think this place has been cleaned for a few yrs . Found hair in our food , the large spoons that dished out the food had very odd and questionable fragments on them. Silverware was all shoved together and filthy . Tables and napkin holders had bugs in them and around . Drinks were so watery they had no flavor. Bathrooms are extremely disgusting! I told the employee about the issues and they didn't care at all . They just handed us our bill. This place is overpriced as well . I wouldn't be surprised if there was cockroachs at that place because of the condition s of the restaurant. After eating the food we were diagnosed with food poisoning!! Stay far away from...

The food is good. the customer service is terrible. They don’t listen. they don’t welcome your questions ! They think you should have the whole menu memorized and always know what you want ! I just got off the phone with the person that answer the phone. I called this restaurant only to have them to hang up on me . So I called them back !She told me that I hung up on her, she actually really she hung up on me. I was in the middle of asking my husband, what did he want and she hung the phone up on me .I called her back and let her know that she hung the phone up on me and she lied and said that I hung up on her. At this point, she should’ve apologized and asked what I want to order. Instead, she went back-and-forth with me about what I said that I didn’t even say.!
