Their drinks & food are average- Lots of yummy options. However management is entitled, rude, & inconsiderate. I was asked not to eat my salad that I brought in from outside. There’s signs posted on the door about no outside food but with how cold it is I ran in without seeing the signs— So it makes sense that she would come and ask me not to eat it inside. However, she wouldn’t even let me sit with it in the building even with the freezing temperatures… I wasn’t. Going. To eat. It. Am I not allowed to drink the coffee that I paid for in peace??? Completely rude staff offering to get the owner just to bark the same policies at me. I’m a human being and a paying customer who deserves to EXIST in a space with my coffee for a break during my day. I already struggle to eat as it is but I was happy to abide by their policy and not eat it in their restaurant and they STILL had an issue with me even having the completely closed unopened container in their building. I’m forced to drink my purchased item in my freezing car.
EDIT to reply to Mocha’s response That’s entirely false. Jerica (if this is you) never took the time to explain or suggest to me an alternative solution. Regardless, I did not need to eat. I JUST needed to sit and drink my drink in peace but Jerica kept harassing me by repeating the policy (as you are in this comment...) I fully understand and RESPECT the policy & I have a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy communications so I know gaslighting when I see it. The questions I was asking were in a genuine effort to simply understand & in no way was I hostile or attempting to resist the policy— Play the tapes— I was plain & sweetly asking questions in an attempt to understand the reasoning behind the policy. It’s the fact that you would not speak to me with grace & compassion to allow me to stay and drink my drink that I paid for. I felt completely dehumanized by Jerica today and will not be returning until I receive a personal apology. I’ve already started telling people I know about this. I just needed a safe space to unwind and relax. If you develop any humanity, humility or grace,...
Read moreThe bar is unparalleled and would choose this over alcohol any day of the week. The coffee was fantastic. There are a few vegan options like the Paleo cookies I'll try next time and they have coconut milk!
Well... I went a second time today, and then had to make a third trip. On the second go around I ordered a quad with a splash of coconut milk. I took it to go. On the drive out, I tasted it, and it was a straight up latte. I was very grossed out. It tasted just like regular milk. It was too late. I couldn't turn back around. I was heading to a conference. It made me jump the curb. I swear. I went back after the conference was over and brought it back and the kid at the register tried to charge me for a new drink. Then... I asked if she was going to actually charge me for a new one and she said well, if you don't trust that we put coconut milk in then yes. I scoffed, obviously. She then amended her decision and in a very parenting tone asked if I had been listening to her explain her decision to charge me for an extra shot of espresso, to add to the already created "quad." I was very apparently unsatisfied with her decision. She acknowledged it. I explained that it had ruined my day. She said "aw, it did?" but knew it was made without consideration for the customer, and so I knew any further conversation would ruin my day more than it already had. I paid for the extra shot. And left without tasting it while the poor barista stared at my unadulterated dismay.
I know that I have met karma, personally.
I had to cancel an appointment with a master stylist next door one day prior to the appointment. I rescheduled of course, and knew that when I did, I would be facing some sort of hell for it. I know this was it, and I walked right into it.
Thank you for the lesson. 5...
Read moreI really debated between a 3 and a 4. I wish there was a 3.5 option. When I arrived there were no parking places. People were parked in the grass behind, and I had to parallel park in the grass off to the side. I had placed my order via the website. My drink was waiting and hot. I had ordered a Large White Mocha with SF Peppermint Syrup. $7.40. I complain that Starbucks is expensive. This was more than my usual Venti at Starbucks. It was, however, good. I was meeting 3 friends. There were 2 seats available. I waited until a 2 top opened, and we were going to cram in. I noticed that the manager or owner (not sure which) was seated at a 6 top with one other person. I thought it was in poor taste to be taking up a 6 top when that busy and people were looking for seating. I was there for about 90 min, and there was very little turnover of people taking up tables with laptops open. I did not see anyone get up and order during this time. I'm wondering if a time limit might be prudent so that people coming in have a chance to sit. I'm not sure if I'll go here again. The parking was tough, the place was cramped, and the prices were high. It was good, but I'm not sure it...
