Taco Bell — Restaurant in Fort Wayne

So, no doubt this is about to be one of the strangest reviews that you likely don’t expect from Taco Bell. However, this is the Taco Bell that I go to on a regular basis, and I cannot remember the last time that I have had to go back inside or go back through the drive-through because my order has been wrong, which is definitely rare when it comes to fast food, restaurants! On a couple of occasions, people from out of town have also joined me to swing through the drive-through to grab some food, and they have repeatedly commented on how this Taco Bell makes really good food, it is always hot, and the orders are always done correctly. I have also never experienced a rude employee here, they are always very pleasant. They always make polite, small talk, complement my hair, double check, and aspect of my order, something that alludes to a short little conversation with me, etc.

Now, for the fairly strange part, a couple of months ago, my car got stuck in the Taco Bell drive-through, and it would not start or move out of there, this was a super stressful moment for me as the customer, because I also had to deal with other customers who were upset that I could not move my vehicle out of the drive-through. And I imagine that it was really stressful for the Taco Bell employees as well, but actually, they were really nice, a few of them tried to help me figure out what was going on, offered to help push my car, and did not seem angry or irritated that I was in a predicament that was closing their drive-through down. It took about 45 minutes, but my car was able to get towed efficiently out of the drive-through, and one of the employees ask, “I know that car troubles are expensive, so I’m not sure if you still want your food or not?“ I definitely appreciate that perspective lol. I did end up getting the food still and it was super hot and fresh. All in all , I see the service and quality that I get out of this location of Taco Bell as a very pleasant one.

As I said, I have never had a bad experience with any employees here, but here are a couple in which I have felt they have been above, beyond, and kind: A young man, with platinum, blonde hair, kind of shaggy; a male manager with dark hair; A young girl, with purpleish pinkish brown hair; and another gentleman who described himself as a polar bear who enjoys the...

Rice was hard in my cheesy bean and rice burrito and missing cheese. Cheese was cold in Quesadilla, and unmelted. My other burrito has more lettuce than chicken. I’ve held off on writing a review for this Taco Bell so long, but I’ve had enough and need to say something to beware the average Taco Bell consumer. This location is laughable to pass as a legitimate Taco Bell. Would not recommend this location and what I have described this my last meal from this location- it’s not the first time I’ve had an issue. All they try to do is give away free tacos to smooth things over— I don’t even like their tacos! No consideration to customer care and has been handled haphazardly. I live nearby and have frequented at different times of day- every meal service time of day - and every time of year- I’ve been visiting it for 2 years. Each time is under delivered, and I’ve just cut too much slack to go on: customizations are always wrong to pay extra for add ons and it is simply not the value option anymore (with the price increases in their menu). I might add there’s always different faces that cycle through, which I understand, but just over a period of 6 months at a time it seems like a 100% turnover. Something else is wrong at this restaurant and it’s not the people busting their butt to make your food- and I imagine they hadn’t been taught how to properly make it and are guessing. Your money would be spent better at a business that has quality and standards. This location is not that. This Taco Bell could use a little help. We chose to dine-in and it was our first visit to this particular one. Upon entering it smelled horrible. The door from the outside brought you in to a small hallway that had the restrooms in it and it smelled like urine...old urine. Upon entering the dining area I noticed that a few tables were taken and the ones that weren't were pretty dirty. Food and sauces all over the tabletops and on the floor. We used the kiosk to order and pay and found a table and cleaned it ourselves. There was no sanitizer in any of the dispensers to use to wipe down the tables so I wasn't able to disinfect it. We did receive our order pretty quickly and it was hot (huge plus). I had to ask for our drinks, a frozen Baja Blast and a cup for the new sparkling dragonfruit tea. The tea was out though. (While we were waiting, another customer had to ask for their drink as well.) While eating I watched the employees work in the kitchen to finish up with the drive-thru line. When it was cleared, they all walked out into the dining area and sat at or stood around a table that a young lady who appeared to be a MOD was sitting at smoking a vape and doing an awful job hiding it. It would have been the PERFECT time to take care of the dining area, the drink station, and the condiment station.

I get being understaffed. I get being busy. However, at the time we were there, neither of these things seemed to be an issue. I probably wouldn't eat inside this TB but might go through the drive-thru if there was nothing else available.
