It’s a subway.
However, you’ll have one of two options:
You get lucky and Katie or another competent worker is working. This will be a good subway experience.
You don’t get a competent worker or you get the legally-questionable underaged worker like I did tonight. This is a bad time. Read on for more.
I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap and he asked if I wanted the chicken toasted, I said sure and he toasted the entire wrap with chicken on it, this caused the wrap to harden and ultimately made it so he couldn’t wrap the tortilla. I also asked for ranch and “a little bit of buffalo” (I always use these exact words). The kid grabbed the buffalo sauce, squeezed a single drop of buffalo sauce out, immediately said “sorry” and then proceeds to grab the creamy sriracha and then drenched my wrap in it. Should I have stopped him? Yes — but I was too dumbfounded to have said anything and he moved very quickly.
The kid then proceeds to try and wrap the tortilla and can not get it wrapped. After about 30 seconds, I suggest he just put it in a bowl and I’ll just eat it unwrapped. I pay, notice there’s no fork and have to ask one for one, too.
I know that buffalo is an unlabeled sauce but if you have a worker who can’t differentiate between buffalo and (the labeled sauce) creamy sriracha, label it and organize it better. Also maybe this kid needs more training because he clearly isn’t being set up...
Read moreStopped in for dinner with my family. There were 2 workers there. Both looked like teenagers, both gave off the I don't want to be there vibe. I can look past that... the American cheese looked disgusting as well as several protein choices and most of the produce. The tomatoes were mushy and the cucumbers looked molded. Both employees had hair in their faces. The girl had hers loosely tied back haphazardly but it was all over her face and all over the place. No name tags. They both spoke so low and looked to be high. If I get sick tomorrow at least I'll know where it came from.
Update: Well surprise surprise I ended up with food poisoning. Husband called and asked for a Manger they said there wasn't one and wouldn't be until the morning. Get it...
Read moreHours online said open til 9pm. I wanted to place a to go order at 8:50. As I was walking in employees threw their hands in the air and stared at me like I was a monster. I apologized for coming in so late and said I just wanted 2 sandwiches to go. They immediately informed me they were out of flat bread, Italian bread, ham, Turkey and lettuce. I could see the empty spots where those items were usually at. I nicely explained I've worked in a restaurant for 20 years and knew better. If those items were out there should have been empty pans to maintain the temperature of other items. The young lady sarcastically said I was wrong. I decided not to eat there since there was...
