We got a large pepperoni pizza and picked it up through the drive thru at the Newburgh Turonis. It was a special thing for us to do. Got it home and there was literally no sauce under the cheese. Kids were starving so we ate it, but it was terrible . We called to let someone know, the great sauce is our favorite and it was not what we paid good money for. The manager who didn't apologise and was very unconcerned or helpful said he would have the owner contact us . Even after a follow up call, no one bothered to contact us. We have given Turoni's our business for many many years. For group birthday parties and for special occasions. It's always been a special place to go. The one time we had a problem, no one cared enough to fix it and we were treated like we were trying to steal a free pizza, and we don't appreciate it. We understand that mistakes happen, we can forgive that, we understand. What we cannot forgive is the response and total lack of care or concern once a problem did happen . We feel strongly after our experience that Turonis doesn't care about there customers. Once you pay you get what you get. That family experience is forever ruined for us and we will never spend another penny there and will continue to let everyone we know that Turoni's doesn't care about there customers or fixing there mistakes, it's only about money. Very disappointing . Forever has ruined a place that was special to us. There are many great pizza places in the area. Turoni's is off that list.
So the response we get is "So sorry this happened to you". A canned response, not how can we fix it. Turoni's doesn't care about...
Read moreNormally I don't review places good or bad but I am frustrated by my experience here. We had a reservation tonight for a party of 10 with small children. Everything seemed to go smoothly at first. We put our order in and got our drinks so no problems there. The food was the issue.
The salads and appetizers took more than an hour to come out after the waitress asked if we wanted them brought our early. We started feeling the frustration at that point. We patiently waited for another 30 minutes then decided to leave. We asked the waitress for our checks and she asked if we wanted to wait. At this point we had been there for an hour and 40 minutes. She stated that to cook the pizza would only take a couple of minutes to cook. The reason we were given is that the carry out is given priority over dine in. There was a table down from us that said they had been there for more than 2 hours with a table full of kids. They finally got their pizzas after two hours and they spoke with the manager. I overheard some of the conversation with the manager and he gave a half hearted excuse for the wait. The other table looked very upset by their experience as well. One of my family members asked about the pizza and they said they finally got it but it was soggy.
Long story short they have good food but you have to be willing to wait more than 2 hours for it during a high volume time. I don't think I will attempt to go to go here again unless I want to waste most...
Read moreWent there for lunch today and although newburgh Turoni's isnt my favorite pizza place, we went there because they do have a good buffalo chicken pizza and it was close. I branched out with a bbq chicken pizza and asked to replace the onions and pickle with jalapeno and pineapple. They said they wouldn't substitute any tippings but instead would just charge me extra for the new toppings so Turoni's must be really hard up. The red pepper and pinneaple were not cooked at all because they were so large and thick. There was also barely any bbq sauce at all so it just tasted like bread with giant undercooked toppings. I was quite disappointed. The waitress was nice. She turned the a/c up cause it was freezing in there to the point that I wasn't sure I'd make it through lunch. I also got a tea and asked for splenda. Sadly they would only give me 2 splenda with every refill. Maybe lay off the toppings so you can afford a sweetener container to pass out for people who order tea. I think I will just go to...
