I came here to the Newburgh location to get a few corndogs and a garlic butter bacon burger with NO CHEESE. I was greeted by a very unprofessional and rude employee named Hanna at stall 20, she was taking my order and couldn’t even order what I needed to without being cut off by her asking “OK WHAT ELSE??!! Furthermore, when my food came out the burger had cheese on it after I made sure twice no cheese. I point out the issue to Hannah and say “hey I made sure twice this has no cheese and it still came out with cheese” just for Hannah to rudely go “well those burgers don’t come without cheese”… I ordered it last time with no cheese so what’s the issue just leave the cheese off? So after making my argument she goes to get it remade after hastily walking off. My food comes out the second time and it’s correct but we’re back to the same rude and unprofessional behavior. I then ask for her name; and she asks me “why do you need my name” I said “because I think you’ve been very rude towards me and that’s not how a customer should be treated!!”. After having to explain my self, which a patron should never have to do, she finally gave me her name and looked at my mom and I with a dirty look!! I drove off after spending 20 mins at your store and wrapped around the diner just to find Hannah and her manager KYLEENA standing there close to where you drive by trying to start a CONFRONTATION with a customer, both of them smirking and smiling I asked if there’s an issue just to be greeted by the manager Kyleena getting pretty close to my moms personal space in her face. Before it got heated we drove off and said we will be making a report and they continued to smirk and try to provoke an issue with us!! Read moreYesterday my fries were cold. Went back today and the customer service was appalling. I've gotten the same chocolate milkshake with an expresso shot to make a mocha. The last half dozen visits I've ordered this combination and not only have they had no problem making it, they've also had the ability to denote the order on the screen. Today, I noted the cold fries from yesterday's order, which was met with indifference from the order taker. So, I place my order. Upon the initial combo order the order taker was dismissive and wrapping up the order before I was finished ordering. I proceeded to initiate contact to finish my order and to place the mocha shake order. The order taker botched the order and only keyed in the chocolate shake. So, I inquired as to why. He very gurffly I formed me they didn't have that. To whit I proceeded to assure him I've been ordering this for weeks. His response is his manager said no, they're not doing it anymore. This is a place that has signs up inviting / encouraging you to explore, and match up items on their menu. I, mildly frustrated exclaimed, "then I'm not going to eat here tonight." It was most the tone, but also the contradiction in policy and the fact that their computer knows how to process the order, as I've seen it properly annotated on the screen. So, as I drove away I called the manager. I expressed my concern over the cold fries and the nature of the tones in which his order taker used in our conversation. His words were "I don't know what you expect from me." I stated, and that is why I won't be returning for 6 months, you just lost my business. Evidently you don't understand customers service. I won't be back for at least 6 months. This represents approximately $800.00-$1000.00...
Read morePersonally, it's hard for me to fairly rate Sonic due to it being in a restaurant and class of service unique to itself.
Overall, and considering how you order and receive your order, I definitely give it above average. However, this particular Sonic is very compact and almost feels claustrophobic due to its limited number of car bays and the extremely small area everything is compressed into.
I dinged the "atmosphere" due to vehicles blasting their music so loudly that we had to keep repeating our order and making the order process extremely difficult and frustrating. I dinged the "food" category because my much anticipated Strawberry Milkshake straight-up tasted like purely vanilla and upon removing the lid to view, it was nothing but white with a few very sparse, and extremely small specks of strawberry hull only in it. My daughter loved her banana milkshake, though, and it was actually a creamy yellow color.
If my daughter craves something from there again, I'll totally take her, but I have zero interest in returning for myself anytime in the foreseeable future.
Worth Noting: Our order was brought out relatively quickly, and the employee was polite, courteous, and friendly. I'm also confident that had I went back to Sonic and complained that they'd have made me another milkshake, but I didn't feel like driving back and going through the car-hop...
