And now to the original review: This tiny restaurant inside the AIM supermarket changed hands in recent months and now offers Middle Eastern cuisine with an Egyptian influence.
And for the month of the Ramadan holiday they have a dinner buffet, which is a great opportunity to try "home cooking" dishes that you will typically not find on restaurant menus. Though I believe you can still order from the regular menu, if you so choose.
There is a nice selection of appetizers, three soups, vegetarian stews, chicken and lamb entrees. The dessert section is very basic. But overall, the selection is better and more extensive than other Ramadan buffet dinners in the city.
The service is very friendly, and the staff was happy to answer questions. But it's all pretty informal. If you want a soda, you get it from the fridge yourself. If they don't have the beverage you want, you can get it from the supermarket where the restaurant is at.
Note that the place is very casual. It was the cafeteria area of the Marsh Supermarket that used to be there before going out of business a few years ago.
