Unfortunately, as on May 2024, the ownership changed and the chef left. I hope the new team will be as good. And now to the original review: This tiny restaurant inside the AIM supermarket changed hands in recent months and now offers Middle Eastern cuisine with an Egyptian influence. And for the month of the Ramadan holiday they have a dinner buffet, which is a great opportunity to try "home cooking" dishes that you will typically not find on restaurant menus. Though I believe you can still order from the regular menu, if you so choose. There is a nice selection of appetizers, three soups, vegetarian stews, chicken and lamb entrees. The dessert section is very basic. But overall, the selection is better and more extensive than other Ramadan buffet dinners in the city. The service is very friendly, and the staff was happy to answer questions. But it's all pretty informal. If you want a soda, you get it from the fridge yourself. If they don't have the beverage you want, you can get it from the supermarket where the restaurant is at. Note that the place is very casual. It was the cafeteria area of the Marsh Supermarket that used to be there before going out of business a few years ago. Bottomline - don't miss the holiday buffet for an unusual culinary experience.

It’s in the corner of the grocery store. Very clean tables with beautiful table clothes. The service is good for everything you need and thankfully not overwhelming. The portion of food is large. We ordered 2 plates. we realized we could have tried appetizers and shared 1 plate. The salad is awesome. I like the lamb. The chicken shawarma and chicken skewers are different flavor. The dipping sauce has hummus I like it. The rice has nuts on it and tastes good

Excellent food! They have wonderful hummus, babaganoush, and homemade bread. The falafel sandwich was great. We also enjoyed the stuffed grape leaves. The Reef is inside a large international grocery store. We made it back to try the musaka (eggplant), lentil soup, shakshouka (eggs and tomatoes in red sauce), and foul (bean dip). Everything was delicious! We look forward to trying their weekend buffet.

I ordered take out and had my fiance pick it up. That was the worst Falafel sandwich I have ever seen. Why would you put it into a flour tortilla? The tortilla gets sticky and turns very unpleasant. What's wrong with Pita? And what happened to putting sauces and vegetables like lettuce , cucumbers, onions, and tomatoes? I realize food prices are going up and I would rather pay a little extra for something I want to eat rather than pay for something I am not going to eat. Very...

Don’t let the sketchy surroundings of being in a Mexican grocery deter you—this place is the real deal! Awesome tabouli, excellent meat dishes (skewers and kibbee app were solid). Even enjoyed the grape leaves. Tried pickled turnip for the first time ever, and will be craving them for days. Not quite my grandmas spices, but delicious in its own right. We wanted to sample a lot, that’s the reason the bill was high…but we’ve got enough left over for 2 more meals. Truly...
