Batman Grill — Restaurant in Indianapolis

Hands down the best meal I've ever eaten INSIDE a grocery store. Ok, technically I think it's a 'former' grocery store that is now a kind of indoor market...

Although the location may seem a bit odd and the atmoshpere suffers a little for it, the food and service MORE than make up for it!

Although I normally start with a discussion of the food (after all, I'm here to Eat 🙂) in this case I want to start with the service. We were actually looking for the previous business (not knowing it had closed) but when we asked, the wonderful young lady at the counter kindly explained that the business had changed, but that it was 'pretty much the same type of food'.

I don't know it it is really the same 'type' or not, but it certainly couldn't have been the same quality of food... Because if it were they WOULD NOT have closed!

My wife and I started with hummus (wife's favorite) and baba ganoush (mine!). Both were excellent and even my wife said the baba was the best she'd had (she's normally not that fond of it, but she really loved this version).

While we were ordering we mentioned to the staff that we love pickled turnips and that often they are hard to find ..so she brought out a bowl of extra just for us!

For our entrees I chose the beef shawarma platter and my wife opted for the chicken, with both garlic and tahini sauces. Those, combined with the extra turnips, made for a very very filling meal. And the flavors were top notch! I've eaten shawarma in dozens of places and let me tell you, when it comes to shawarma, Batman is a super hero!!

Batmans Grill is one of the best food stop's in the Indianapolis area. The food is as delicious as it is beautiful. I had the chicken shawarma wrap and my wife had the falafel wrap. Next time I'm going to be more adventurous now that I know high level of taste they serve. The guy working sat us down and was super friendly and almost felt like eating at a friend's place. Very affordable and I will be stopping by next time I'm anywhere nearby. So happy to stumble upon this gem of...

You never know what you find inside an International Grocery Store. Batman Grill was surprise. They welcome you in like Sunday dinner at grandma's. I couldn't make up my mind, so I tried the small batman grill mix, which was supreme. Don't think you are going home. They give you a full meal. Tender kabob, juicy kufta, rice, and salad with a side of best grape leaves I have had. I can wait to go back and try...
