They may have built their business on their (still) delicious custard but Culver’s is much more than that.
No matter which location you visit, from the front counter to the dining areas to the bathrooms, every Culver’s I have visited has been consistently clean and never appeared well-worn or overly lived in.
The same goes for the staff. Their uniforms are all consistently clean and they look sharp. Friendly, courteous and helpful. They make each visitor feel valued as a customer. I don’t how they’ve managed to do it. Their staff training must be fantastic for each location to have such consistency with staff.
Now the food. Oh man. The food.
Yes, the custard is fantastic. I like their “concretes” the most cuz I’m a mix-in kinda guy. But I’ve had many of the others and have never been unhappy with my choice.
For me though, it’s the burgers and fries. I categorize my obsession with hamburgers in 2 categories - Before Culver’s and After Culver’s. Thing is, when I first saw “butter burgers” on the menu I was completely grossed out by the idea. Then, I ate one and I have never looked back. Culver’s truly has the best tasting hamburgers anywhere. Not just fast food. Seriously, anywhere. Their fries are great too. Perfectly crisp and potatoey (it’s not a word but I’m keeping it), Culver’s fries are the perfect complement to their burgers.
So that’s it. Consistently clean, friendly and delicious. That’s Culver’s and that’s what I want when I go out for...
Read moreI waited several minutes at the counter as the only customer in line while 2 girls stood at separate registers while looking at me but not speaking then after asking if anybody is going to speak to me they continued in silence until one girl finally relented and said I guess I will. Took my order with much trouble getting it correct. When my order arrived there was a serving of mashed potatoes in the tray that I hadn't ordered. With all the trouble taking my order I figured I paid for but didn't check the receipt that was underneath my plate at I knew they couldn't serve them and I didn't care to eat them. Shortly thereafter a different girl believed to be the manager or shift leader with a white shirt walked up and asked if those were my mashed potatoes to which I replied no I didn't order any. She reached over picked up my plate took my receipt and scolded me that I didn't pay for the potatoes so they belonged to someone else and she was going to take them. I asked her to make sure she wasn't going to serve them to someone else. She said no but I didn't oh for them so they weren't mine and she proceeded to throw them away. A few minutes later another female employee walked around asking if anyone was a free Oreo shake that they had make extra. I felt very violated by this entire situation and will never return to...
Read moreI will never return to eat. If someone pays here to eat at least treat them right! I ordered a snack pack and a basket meal so me and my son could eat. It took 10 mins for them to bring it out. From where I was sitting I could see people playing around in the back so I already knew what they brought out wasn’t right. Sure enough the plain hamburger I ordered wasn’t plain. I went back to the counter and stood there waiting on someone to acknowledge my presence. Of course they pretended to not see me until one of the employees who was standing on the customer side of the counter asked me if I needed help. I told her yes then I handed her my receipt that showed I ordered a plain hamburger. I then returned to my table reassuring my son that his sandwich wouldn’t take long to make because it’s plain. I was wrong it took another 10 minutes for them to bring that out. Lol. By the time we spent waiting for them to bring it, I had finished my food. The lady showed up with the burger on the tray looking like she was lost. I asked her how is it possible that a plain burger took 10 mins to make? Of course she didn’t answer my question. She did offer a ice cream. No thanks ma’am. My time is worth a little...
