Terrible service. We are regulars here and had the most appalling waitress yesterday. She didn't come back to check on us, she forgot our sour cream. Our food sat getting cold at our table while we waited for her to return, which she never did. We finally flagged down the waiter who was very nice and brought us the condiments we previously asked for. Every time we asked for something extra and placed our to go order for a large salsa she made a point of telling us what the price was. Maybe we didn't look like we could afford to spend money. She had a scowl on her face the whole time with her eyebrows raised. I got a vibe from her that she is a racist. We were one of two tables in the whole restaurant. No refills on water, no asking how was everything. When we paid our $60 bill, she didn't say thank you or anything. She practically ran back to the bar area where she spent most of her time and was very jovial with all the men in there. She just walked away from the register. We were nothing but kind and respectful. I won't be back. There's too many other good Mexican restaurants in the area. My shrimp was sour but she never came back so I just threw it out. The chicken taco was decent but bland. My friend loves their salsa but it's not good enough for me to go back to be treated so...
Read moreWe ate here at 8pm on a Tuesday, there were only 2 other tables of guests and 2 or 3 guys at the bar. We ordered the enchiladas suizas, and a beer for me and pop for my wife. The food was mediocre, but the service was horrible. Our waitress was talking up a guy at the bar, we had to go find her for a refill on my wife's diet coke, after which she disappeared again. We had to find her again to get our check, after which she promptly evaporated again!
If you're dying of starvation and have no other options, this might hold you over, depending on whether or not you can get your waitress to show up.
But if you have other options, just go with those,...
Read moreThe food here is ok, but not great. I've been here with coworkers a number of times. The service via decent, although it always seems slow to get your check. When you are at lunch from your job, you need everything to be fast. We often go to the counter to pay without the bill when we are ready to go. The food is Americanized and a bit hit and miss on the quality. There is another place in the Kroger plaza across 71st street that has much more authentic and better tasting food. I would suggest it over this place. This place is ok, and you get your food fast. If you like the less authentic Mexican style food, you may like it...
