I was excited to try out a new sushi spot and placed a delivery order from this restaurant. Sadly, I canât say this was a good experience.
I ordered some lunch specials (you can pick 2 rolls from a predefined menu on Uber Eats) and some specialty rolls. A few mins later, I got a notification that the price of my order went up. I called the restaurant to find out what happened and they said that my eel roll and Philadelphia roll were not part of the lunch menu anymore (even though they were in the app - see the screenshot). With that said, they billed all my rolls as separate menu items instead of a combo which was considerably more expensive. I asked the restaurant to honor the original price since it was their fault, but instead they threatened to completely cancel my order.
I understand errors happen, but itâs about how we handle them at the end of the day. I was appalled they didnât own their mistake and chose to pass the cost on me. I did like the...
Read moreAfter driving 20-mins to Allisonville Rd to pick up sushi from One World groceryâŚonly to find that they randomly closed the kitchen at 6pm (grrr), we were stuck without dinner. I had noticed Kyoto a month ago during a quick stop at Kroger.
The food was excellent. We had a couple spicy salmon rolls, a tempura shrimp roll, and a go-blue roll. Contrary to a comment indicating that the rolls were undersized, I think that the standard rolls were an appropriate diameter and the special roll was bigger (as expected).
Everything tasted fresh and was on-par or better than the other sushi restaurants we frequent. The edamame was perfectâŚnot over or under cooked. The miso soup also tasted greatâŚlots of flavor but not too salty.
While it looks so strip mall on the outside, the inside is really niceâŚclean, comfortable, and new. We were so glad that the place wasnât packedâŚthere was plenty of space for social distancing. I guess that will change as the...
Read moreI ordered a lunch bento box to go. I showed up and the man at the counter ignored me for at least 5 minutes before he acknowledged my presence then he went to get my food and I asked for Yum yum sauce. He said it doesn't come with a bento box, only hibachi. It is $1 for a tiny little cup without the purchase of hibachi. I said there is hibachi in my bento box so I should get sauce for it otherwise they should tell you there is an extra charge for the sauce that makes the meal enjoyable on the website. He argued with me for a while then finally got me some sauce. The cucumber spirals they put in the bento box were so wet they leaked water onto the rest of my food. My sushi was in a puddle of murky water by the time I noticed and tried to eat it. The rice was dry. Not worth the $15 I spent on the food and the hassle the guy turned sauce into. I will...
