El Mezcal — Restaurant in Indianapolis

ZERO!!! The only thing worth about this place is the artwork on the wall. We enter the building and it is dead, and aren’t even greeted. The “server” finally came out and with the laziest attitude ever. We ordered the simplest food and although the serving size was good, the taste was NOT. Meat tasted on the verge of going bad and DRY. Food lasted warm for five second big red flag a microwave was used. All the other servers there were lounging around on their phones in plain view with full blown conversations. Then you can hear them talking bad about the customers, WOW!! NEVER...

Do not pay online for your order! I did this and they had no record of my order but it was debited out of my account (even though the waiter said it wasn't). I showed the waiter that they indeed took the money for my online order and I was told to call my bank. I'm sure El Mezcal's management could have reversed this and saved me some trouble. You guys need to remove the option to pay if it is not valid. Not to be dramatic but it feels like theft. My bank is going to fix this but again, it shouldn't have been my problem if it is an error...

The service and atmosphere was nice. The food was awful. I was incredibly hungry when I got there but after looking at the food and trying a couple bites I completely lost my appetite. The guacamole was brown and crusty along with the pico that looked like it had sat out for days. My server noticed I was not enjoying it and the manager was also very nice and responsive.
