I really wanted to love this place but the food is incredibly bland.
Ordered asada and and pastor burritos and two egg rolls to go. Egg rolls were fried to perfection but had no real flavor. Reminded me of pre-made egg rolls you get in the freezer section of the grocery.
The burritos were cut in half, which is a huge liberty to take with a self-contained, portable food. You lose the entire point if you cut it in half. In my three minute drive home, most of the tortilla was soaked in leaking pastor juices. The soggy burrito was a knife and spoon affair. Way too many wet ingredients and, once again, no real flavor. The minced texture of the pastor was a bit strange for me, I expected shredded meat, possibly with some bits of pineapple or onion.
Not the worst burrito I've had, but in an area of town packed with carnecerias, taquerias and Chinese restaurants, this place isn't doing anything to make...
Read moreThe price range is about 10-12 bucks a dish.
Very well worth the price though.
They make quality food.
I've eaten at tons of Asian places, and this one beats even some of the higher end ones.
The Hispanic food just tastes quality.
The ice cream is something you HAVE TO TRY if you like ice cream. It's starting to get a little warm outside. Their ice cream is some of the softest and creamiest I've ever had. The one I had was the chocolate chip.
The family working there is also really nice and welcoming.
Last time we went, they did not have printed menus. But, just know the price range for each dish is 8 or 9 to 12 dollars. If you don't know the price, lean towards 10 to 12. (Expect higher I mean.)
They also have a variety of meats and combo meat choices for most of their dishes, Asian and Hispanic. They also offer...
Read moreThis restaurant!!!!! It is addicting! I recently discovered this place and I can honestly say I am so happy I did! I thought it was a little weird to have both Mexican and Chinese food, but I was intrigued so I went with it! The chicken lo mein I had was hands down the best lo mein I have EVER had. It was hot and fresh, and it was SPICY! My tacos de pollo weren't dry- and didn't have too much cilantro and onions either. The nachos had yellow nacho cheese on them that was soooooo good! The tamales are only sold Fridays and Saturdays after 5pm. And the daughters running the front half of the restaurant were super friendly and gave amazing service! I love supporting local business when I can and I am literally itching to get back to El Sabor 😭 I would spend my money here...
