We have been to Guggman a few times and always have a great experience with food and the environment. So much that now having a toddler, we enjoy coming to the space to have dinner and a quick night out before bedtime . I was disappointed in an employee this evening. We went with friends and had four children with us. Guggman advertises as being “family friendly” but we felt every bit of unwelcome. My daughter threw a tantrum over taking her shoes off so she didn’t have them on and was running around. My plan was to obviously put them back on after cleaning up and getting her to settle and play off to the side. An employee came over to me and asked that I put her shoes on and asked me not to let her run over the metal flooring because it “echos” and disturbs others. We chose this part of the restaurant to be away from others and no one else was in this space. It seemed unnecessary but we follow rules so it wasn’t a problem to not let it happen again. But the visits from this employee didn’t end! She kept coming back and making harsh stares towards my daughter and the other children playing with the connect four table that was out (clearly for children?). I started to feel uncomfortable, as if she was going to say something else about the way our children were playing off to the side. If you are going to market yourself as family, friendly, and say that children are welcome as long as they are with a supervised adult, make it a welcoming space and allow the adults to do the supervision! I did not feel welcomed as a family, and my friends feel uncomfortable having their children there as well. Some children don’t sit on laps and stay in high chairs without a screaming fight. This is one of the reasons we choose the space to eat dinner. If you don’t want children in your space don’t...

Let me tell you something, I know craft, seen a lot of breweries come and go over the years, but this place really gets it. Not just the brew, but the environment, inside, outside, great food, plenty of space, nice comfortable seating, fireplaces, board games, the list goes on.
Now about the brew!
Craft brew in many establishments have lost the meaning to the word “CRAFT.” If you’re one of those folks who don’t really enjoy the elite rank delta force of craft brew, they’ll still have something for you, but if you’re a seasoned avid connoisseur, or even a hard nosed critic, be prepared to get that side smirk on your face by the time you finish a flight. What can you possibly say when you’re impressed?
This quadruple hopped “party of 4” is on its last keg and already, I’m getting mischievous like plankton on SpongeBob. Of course I’d never steal their recipe, I’m not a brewer, but holy smokes it’s amazing!
I’m highly disappointed that my town does not provide the luxury of any brewery around here carrying beer from a brewery like this one who will satisfy EVERYONE, not just novice enthusiasts who would ironically spit out the more advanced liquid gold and cue the dropped jaw from the connoisseur in shock that they have not yet taken their acquired taste to the next level. That said, beginner or advanced, they absolutely offer the best of the best of anything you’re into. Don’t believe me, Go see for yourself if water’s wet. I have better things to do than write a killer review. I’m just a regular guy who is excited about this place.
FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY! Please, do the world a favor and sustain your passion in your craft. It really shows!

Read moreCame here the other day to have a couple of beers. I’d never been and didn’t know what I wanted. I tasted a couple of beers I wasn’t really into. When I asked for a sample of a fourth beer, the server said she usually only does three, so I needed to pick from what I’d already tried. If I don’t like what I’ve tried, why would I buy a whole pint of it? She acted like I was trying to rip her off by asking for an extra 1/4 ounce of beer. The place was not busy either. It was around 3pm on a Tuesday.
My brother was with me and tried a beer that smelled like bananas. He mentioned to me that it tasted like banana juice and she piped up and snarkily said “That’s what a Hefeweizen is”.
After this negative experience with her, I really didn’t feel much like her service deserved a tip, so I didn’t leave one. After I paid and was walking away, she said “Thanks for the tip”. I’ve been a server and bartender and it’s pretty ballsy to take a tip for granted when you were not kind or welcoming.
Service was one star. The beer might be good, but I wouldn’t know because I wasn’t allowed to try it in order to gauge what I wanted. The ambiance of the place was cool and I might go back and hope to get a more decent bartender so that I can try some beer and see what...
