We went for the first time during a Halloween party which was fine. It was fun seeing all the costumes. We get seated immediately.
Someone came over and said they would be right with us. He wasn't. It took him seemingly forever to come and take our drink order. Just as we were about to leave, he shows up...drunk. We should have just left but it was a party so we stayed. We wish we hadn't. We gave our drink orders and an appetizer. Again, it took forever to get drinks. We decided on dinner and ordered that. When I received my steak it was still bleeding. I ordered medium well...slightly pink in the center. I had to track someone down because our waiter was so far gone he disappeared again. I had to send it back to have it cooked. The waiter rarely came to the table, didn't refill drinks and was drunk. He could barely keep it together and his speech was slurred.
The food was mediocre and absolutely not worth the money. The steak was chewy and undercooked as stated above. We ended up taking it home for our dogs.
The band they hired just would not stop. No breaks and it was 3 tables over making it very unpleasant. We couldn't even think, let alone talk. I understand it is loud and a party but it was very excessive.
Most importantly, they left the doors open to the patio. This is where people smoke. It was FREEZING inside and the smoke was coming inside. People were not observing the 8 feet away law and Murphy's wasn't enforcing it. I have only one lung and can't be around cigarette smoke so I struggled. I asked to close the doors and was ignored. Ummm..its the law. I was furious They saw me with my coat on my lap and my partners jacket on. I was asked if I was ok. I explained it was freezing and was ignored again. They need to understand the law regarding cigarettes and enforce the law. NOT LEAVE THE DOORS OPEN WHERE PEOPLE SMOKE!!!
This was just a horrible experience. We spent nearly $100 to not be able to breath, freeze, get undercooked and nearly inedible food and have a drunk waiter who was barely coherent enough to remember we were there.
The only good thing were the buttery nipple shots we ordered. If you want alcohol, this is your place. If you want...

This is my updated review about Murphy's Craft House at Fox Road, and I'm obsessed! This place is a game-changer for anyone who loves fried food (so, basically everyone). We ordered carryout, and let me tell you, it was love at first bite!
Food: 5/5 (the holy trinity of fried food: mushrooms, chicken, and steak)
We ordered the deep-fried mushrooms, fried chicken, and steak, and oh boy, it was a fried food extravaganza! The mushrooms were crispy, golden, and addictive. The fried chicken was juicy, tender, and finger-lickin' good. And the steak? Cooked to perfection and served with a side of garlic butter that'll make your taste buds sing. It's a fried food lover's paradise, even on-the-go!
Service: 5/5 (friendly staff and easy pickup)
The staff at Murphy's were super friendly and accommodating, even when we ordered carryout. They made sure our order was ready on time, and the pickup process was seamless.

Read moreDisappointed. Ask me a year ago, would have rated 5 stars. Each consecutive visit (about every 6 weeks or so), the service has worsened, food is not hot when served, and just generally the atmosphere is lacking. I understand about the pandemic and all the usual things associated with what that should do to expectations, and, I really try and cut places and people some leeway here.... but... this evening was the worst, and just dont think I will be going back anytime in the near or distant future. Tonight, went with wife and daughter and son-in-law. Ordered calamari as appetizer, and it took forever and when we got it, it was so over-cooked, the breading almost broke teeth. I honestly don't know how a server could even face serving food like that. It looked as though there were 2 people to wait tables, with 4 running nothing but the hostess stand, and ours happened to be running the bar also (at least, that is where they spent most of the time). Food that should have been hot came otherwise luke warm and that was after 50 minutes from ordering. $120 for 4 people and it wasn't worth $35. Again, I usually will forgive a lot, but tonight was, well, purposefully terrible it seemed. Pick up your game, or start looking for ways to get out of your lease Murphys... I have seen you do...
