I recently dined at La Hacienda #12 and had an extremely disappointing experience. As a person of color, specifically a Black individual, I strongly advise against eating here due to their prejudiced behavior. The staff displayed clear bias and refused to address or rectify their mistakes, assuming we were attempting to get "free food," which is both offensive and unacceptable.

Upon ordering two quesadillas, we confirmed with the waitress that they would come with sour cream and a side salad to ensure they were not just cheese and meat. Despite this, we were charged a la carte for both quesadillas and all sides, amounting to an extra $30 for condiments, which was not what we requested.

When we tried to discuss the discrepancy with the manager, she approached us in a confrontational manner, ready to argue rather than assist. I went with a friend to this restaurant on March 4 for lunch at 11:30 a.m. I ordered nachos supreme (10.99), side of guacamole (2.99), and a diet coke (2.79). When the bill came, it was not itemized, only wrote down one thing, crossed out, and the total of $22.74. My food was only $16.77. I was overcharged $5.97. Sure, it was my fault for not checking, but it seemed wrong when I got home and I complained in an email to the restaurant. No response. The friend checked and she had been overcharged about $7. I posted my story to NextDoor app and was totally surprised to have about 35 other people say this had happened to them to. Apparently this is a common scam with this restaurant.
