I waited 45 minutes for a pickup order at Papa John's, only to leave without the pizza ever being made. While waiting, I witnessed several disturbing hygiene practices that raise serious concerns. The problem is that this is not the first time I've witnessed this.
One female employee: *Lifted her shirt, exposing her midsection and chest, to remove pizza pans from the oven.
*Constantly adjusted her jeans, touching her waistline and skin, then resumed handling food.
*Wiped her hands on the butt of her jeans before and after handling the pizza and other food items.
*Frequently scratched her scalp, face, and nose, and continued food prep with bare hands.
Both she and a male employee handled banana peppers, pizza dough, chicken nuggets, and wings with no gloves.
When pizza pans fell to the floor—some even landing in the trash can—she kicked them aside and later returned them to a rack without washing. I've posted pictures of this below.
After 30 minutes, I asked about my order. The same female employee responded rudely, saying, “It’ll be ready when it’s ready,” and falsely claimed others had been waiting longer. She shouted that DoorDash orders “aren’t important” and told me to cancel it, saying that’s what she tells all DoorDash customers.
When I insisted that DoorDash customers are paying customers too, she walked away. The male employee—who I later found out is a manager—turned to me and started laughing uncontrollably.
After watching multiple customers receive their orders ahead of me, I asked again. She confirmed the name was there but said she didn’t know if or when it would be made. It became clear they had no intention of fulfilling the order. I eventually left, with no pizza.
I called the store afterward and was shocked to learn that the employee who laughed at me is indeed a manager. The person I spoke with apologized, but offered no resolution.
Absolutely unacceptable customer service, and more importantly, unsanitary food handling practices that should be addressed...
Read moreI placed my order through the app like always. My order was confirmed and sent out the door, but of course I never received my order due to Papa Johns using Door Dash for delivery. I was tracking the driver and I stood at my door to make sure they didn’t leave my pizza on the ground like the previous order. The tracker said delivered and there wasn’t anyone at my door, so I call the door dash delivery lady and she kept sending me to voicemail. I call papa johns and they don’t answer like always(terrible customer service) and I text the door dash lady to let her know that she delivered my order to the wrong address, and she had the nerve to tell me she knocked on my door and left the pizza on the porch and I need to check my address cause she had the right one. When I say I’m livid I’m just that cause that’s just terrible! You give my order to the wrong person then tell the customer that they need to check the address cause they delivered it to the right address. I’m done with papa johns! I will be there first thing tomorrow to speak with the manager face to face since they couldn’t answer the phone! Just sad! Never order from this location on...

After 50 minutes, I called and asked where my order is and the employee told me that they didn't have an order for me. I'm like ????? Okay, no I have a call log and charge on my card that proves otherwise. I then finally get to speak to the manager. It took me 3 times to explain for her to realize the employee took down the address wrong and delivered it to the wrong place. Okay fine, but why didn't anyone call? We are sitting here waiting on food that was never coming. The manager nor the employee apologized and had the audacity of asking me if after all this if I want them to make it. Again ????. What is going through your head? Garbage ass company....
