Read moreThe food is good but the owner does not deal with customer complaints well at all. I have been going to the place for a few yrs and havent had any issue. This yr at the new location I have had 2 separate issue neither were small. The first issue was maybe 3months ago when I noticed an upcharge for my sides items. Now mind you I ordered a dinner that came with 2sides. When I asked the cashier who was an slim build elderly woman what the charge was for she couldn't explain it. She went and get the owner who was a medium build light skin elder woman. She said certain dishes cost more to make. I asked customers are not informed before the choose their food? She said because that's how she been doing so that's what she does. I took this as being very rude and disrespectful. I didnt mind paying the money I was spending over 60 bucks on 3 meals anyway. It was the principal just because you have been doing something a certain way for years does not make it right. Customers should know upfront what they are paying for in any establishment. This is unfair business practice! The second issue was I went into the restaurant on Mother's Day and ordered a meal I have been getting for years and anyone who knows this place knows they are known for this meal. The infamous Turkey wing and rice with 2 sides!!!! This was the first time I was disappointed my Turkey wing was so undercooked I couldn't eat it. Luckily they cooked ham on this Sunday and I happen to get some or I wouldn't have had anything meat to eat with my meal. I went back today and told them what happened and was told I should have called and told them Sunday even tho the guy who made my food remembered clearly serving me last week. The owner son told me there was nothing he could do since I didn't call in. Customer service is a big part of food service and this place is great as long as u don't complain about anything because they don't seem to care less if you have been a part of the growth of the business or it's your first time coming losing your business isn't a big concern...
Read moreSherry (said owner) could use a brush up on professionalism & costumer service. After waiting in a breakfast line that consisted of 3 ppl for approximately 15 mins while being ignored, I finally asked who did I need to see to place an order. Sherry then rudely & dismissively turned Around and stated “I can take your order when when I’m done, as if I the customer was a bother to her. Even the other 3 customers (who were all together might I add) had looks on their faces like “wtf”! I was never loud, rude or inpatient! Her tone was as if she was annoyed & she didn’t respect me as a customer enough to even make eye contact when addressing me in an EMPTY restaurant! I politely left. Afterwards I called the restaurant (30 mins later) and asked what was the name of the woman taking orders & I was told her name was Sherry (the actual person who answered the phone). I explained to Sherry that I wanted to file a complaint with the owner & she stated it was her. Wow! I then explained that I felt her tone was rude and the overall situation was unprofessional. She proceeded to tell me that maybe I was having a bad day (it was like 8:30am btw). Then went on to say she wasn’t about to argue with me as if me expressing my disappointment in a normal tone warrranted that comment! Then Sherry proceeded to hang up on me after overtaking me for about 2-3mins. I never called back nor would I ever spend another dime in that place! Someone should tell Sherry that without customers she would have no business! I try to support all black business etc but some make it hard! Word of mouth is the best advertisement! I never write reviews on anything but this really rubbed me wrong! We have...
