I had a horrible experience here just recently at the Keystone location. I want to note that in the 10 years ive been coming here ive NEVER had an issue. I pulled up in the middle of the day at the drive-through and there was no one in line. I then gave my order and had to repeat it multiple times since the person taking the order had trouble hearing me. I then asked I she wanted me to just pull up since there was no one in front of me and she said it what be easier. So I pulled up and waited. I waited and waited. The whole time the younger looking woman NEVER ONCE turned around to get my order. I thought that was strange. After about 5 minutes someone else pulled up behind me waiting for their order. After another 5 minutes I finally figured out what was going on when one of the other employees waved to the driver behind me to get out and walk up to the adjacent window to get his order. He paid, got his food, then BACKED UP AND DROVE AWAY. I then started to wave BUT SHE STILL NEVER TURNED AROUND. I thought, WOW, WHAT HAS THIS WORLD COME TO??? After no one looking I just drove away. I called right after to speak to management and they just apologized with no explanation. They cant say they didnt know what was going on when no one else was waiting in line EXCEPT FOR ME!!!. I was not once rude and really dont know what when on other than the teller was mad cause she couldn t hear me. That;s no excuse to just do that if you get a stick up your #$$$. They clearly all knew I was there since NO ONE helped me. A little advice, if you hate your job or cant handle even a slight amount of stress, THEN QUIT! It's a family owned business so it;'s not like you can call corporate. If you start doing that to loyal customers then it';s just downhill from there.I love this place but it's going to be a WHILE , IF EVER IF I GO BACK. And if I do I will go out of my way to go to the 16th St location where i actually get...
Read moreIt looks like an old pull in a d do it yourself car wash as far as the building structure goes. But early evenings this place almost ALWAYS has a line of cars in a "C" pattern in front of the building. As many as 6 to 8 cars at a time, as more cars pull in as others drive home with their food. Appearances are decisively deceiving. The building might have been a pull in and do it yourself car wash at one time perhaps, but the line moved steadily forward not a long tedious wait. For the price and the wait time (which wasn't that bad) I ordered a full slab of ribs, a side of slaw and a side of potato salad. The ribs were absolutely fantastic, they took extra care to wrap the foam carry box of ribs with plastic wrap to maintain the warmth and minimize a mess while in transit to home in rush hour traffic. The sides were both good, but the ribs were definitely the star of the show. Best full slab rib meal I've had for the price. To get the same portion and sides at say "smokey bones" or "city barbecue", you're paying more, (and in my experience at those two places) you may or may not get the quality you expected at that price level. Truthfully, if you want take home ribs for dinner and your in the vicinity of King Ribs, then I would urge you to go. Not a surprise to me that this place has a steady line of customers nighty. Sometimes the best food and service is at those places that aren't part of a restaurant chain, don't have fancy signage or structures, not heavily advertised on t.v, and are a local favorite in that corner of the area. They may seem small and insignificant, but their might is evident in the pride shown in their service, the quality of their food, and their honest and fair prices. A side note...they have a walk up window and also do catering services just so you know. Give King Ribs a try, and you'll see why they ARE the "King" when it comes...
Read moreI stop to eat here all the time and there is normally a very sweet older small dark skin lady with short hair that works the drive-thru. My last visit, there was a lady with brown and blonde braids working the drive-thru. From start to finish, my experience was not welcoming or tasteful. There was no customer service. I was never greeted at the speaker. She just said "go ahead with your order". Each time at the speaker I would order an item and she would say "is that it, is that it, is that it". She said it at least 4 times. When I got to the window, she never greeted me. My order was never read back or confirmed at the speaker or window. She opened the window stating the total only. She said $37.40. Nothing else. No hellos and no thank yous as the bare minimum at least. When she handed me the food I said thank you and she dryly said "mhm" looking the other way, not even looking at me to address that I said thank you. My assumption is that she did not want to be at work that day or she doesn't enjoy her job. The attitude was unnecessary and unwelcoming to want to continue to support business there. When I left, I called the store and asked to speak to the manager. The person I spoke to just apologized and told me when she is there and also when the older lady that normally works the drive -thru is there. When I got home, I ordered a beef on bun with mild sauce. The entire sandwich was dry with only a few drops of sauce on it. It was a highly dissatisfied service from the drive-thru, management and the food. I only speak of this because its always been the complete opposite with the other lady. She is always amazing when we come. I don't plan to come back maybe for some time to see if the customer service changes and the quality of food gets better or I may not come back at all because I just wasn't too enthused with the...
