Update 4/2025: Unfortunately, I have to recind my previously positive review. We no longer recommend this restaurant. We were dining here pretty consistently and even picking up orders. We ran into issues with items from our orders missing. At first, we let it go, but when it happened again a couple of times, we reached out and got no response. This was on top of other small things we shrugged off, as mistakes do happen. When mistakes happen contentiously (items missing from orders, etc) and the restaurant you once enjoyed ghosts you, it's time to move on. We have not ordered from there since. I think if you dine in every so often you might be ok, but definitely beware if you choose to place a pickup order. We've learned that the hard way. You will be robbed and not given what you paid for. Best of luck to you if you choose to dine here.
Update 10/24: We continue to eat here as the food is consistently delicious. When we dine in, Victor is usually our server. He is amazing! He is the ultimate professional and we could not ask for better service. We have never encountered anyone there who is not kind. When we place our order to go, the food is always great. As our orders are usually large, we ask that they label the containers. They happily do so but will forget if you put it in the order notes. Again, we highly recommend!
Regarding accessibility, we found out there is another door on the opposite side of the building. That is a single door entrance that is much easier to enter while using mobility aids. The bathrooms are not large but are big enough to navigate. Turning a wheelchair may be tight but doable.
Original review:
We've eaten here a handful of times now and prefer it over the jalapeño restaurant nearby. This is a family-friendly restaurant that is often packed, busy, and loud. The food is good and prepared pretty quickly. Everyone has been nice. I've utilized their online ordering and have found it useful for picking food up on the way home from work. I recommend trying this place at least once!
Note on accessibility: As mentioned before, this place gets crowded, and space for maneuvering a mobility aid looks like it would be a challenge. The entrance has two consecutive doors (open one door, step in, open another door). The doors are also on the narrower side. Entering could be challenging. Once inside, one could be seated at a table easily enough. I recommend avoiding the front as it is high traffic and gets crowded and congested when they get busy. I have not visited the bathroom, so cannot...
Read moreWent on a busy Friday evening and the place was buzzing. Not sure why there is a godfathers pizza trash can out front in the lot, perhaps they converted it from a godfathers pizza place? There were people waiting, but we were just a party of 2 and got right in. The server was nice, knew the menu, and provided acceptable service. If you didn't flag him down, you were not getting refills even on alcohol, but outside of that, he was good. The food was fantastic. I had Steak Jalisco, and my wife had Arroz con Pollo, and both were very flavorful and well prepared. The steak was set in some great juices and tasted amazing. I ate every bite except for the one I gave my wife. The tortillas were very hot and well wrapped to stay warm until you wanted them. Mine were still hot when I was near done with my meal. There were many fantastic looking fish dishes going out of the kitchen I would like to try in the future. We also had some cheese dip as an appetizer. While I thought it was not that large of a portion we did not eat it all either so it did seem to be plenty for us. Price was reasonable and we left full and happy without that heavy feeling many places leave you with. We went back and reccomend to friends for a...
Read moreAs a fair warning, Do Not Expect proper customer services from the staff of this establishment. During periods of increased demand or "busy times" they are unable to properly manage the wait line = they skip people and do not have an adequate method of keerpng track of who is next in line. Furthermore, after an unusually high wait time and sitting in the booth nibbling on chips, the waiter/waitress took our drink order. At this time, I informed our server that we were ready to order our food as well. To this, they replied "we are too busy". That was the final straw! Basic Customer Service principles are lost on the people. Being in and serving a smaller community like Indianola, is...
