DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE COMING FROM A LOCAL. My mother and I came to have breakfast and wanted to try this place out. First off, the service was terrible. They take a long time to get your order in and for the food to come out. Once our food came out it was cold and dry. I had ordered the “classic Benny” which is eggs Benedict, a mimosa flight and my mother ordered steak and eggs. You can tell my food was sitting there for a while because the color of the sauce changed colors. They got my mom’s order wrong she had wanted hasbrowns but gave her diced potatoes. They never checked up on us nor asked for refills. Once we asked for the check it took almost 15 minutes. Keep in mind we ordered 3 things and our total $70.35!!!! We asked her why is was so expensive and we wanted a printed receipt and it took her a long time to do that as well. Once she handed us the receipt she walked away behind the bread cart. THEY CHARGED US FOR A LARGE PARTY WHICH WAS 20%!! WHEN IT WAS ONLY 2 OF US. We had tipped before knowing that so she had got 2 tips! My mother confronted her and asked her why did we get charged this and she didn’t have an answer and continued to act dumb. So then she offered my mom to give back her tip and of course my mom said yes and she just gave her cash that was in her apron. That is disrespectful and a disgrace how they can steal from their own customers. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET OVERCHARGED PURPOSELY AND HAVE...
Read moreArrived right b4 1pm No one at the host station. I waited a couple of minutes and a nice lad, after I started to walk past the station, approached & greeted. He sat me at a nice table of, of many were empty, and promptly brought me water and a Arnold Palmer I viewed the menu and set it down It appeared there was only one server and a manager helping out. Neither acknowledged my presence after I sat down. I was able to flag down the host lad and he took my order A simple soup & salad then a min or two later the wait person came and attempted to take my order, no coment of me sitting for roughly 10 minutes. I explained to her the lad took my order and when I told her what it was, she had a confused face and I had to point it to her on the menu. "The Souper Salad"
Within a short few minutes the lad brought me the soup and salad order and then returned shortly to make sure all was okay. Later, after I was half way through the meal, the wait person asked if all okay.
When I was almost done, the wait person delivered the check, not asking if I wanted anything else.
I told the lad, he should be one of the wait staff and when leaving, gave him the tip for the actual server for my meal.
The tomato basil soup was just ok and the 1/2 Cobb salad was very good
In the end I received good service but not from the person who was hired to provide service, so these are the reasons for the lower rating Have a...
Read moreWell, I think they have a lot of maturing to do. Keedy’s Fountain and Grill in Palm Desert is a Coachella Valley staple. This “sequel” fails to measure up, in multiple ways. First, their seating capacity exceeds the kitchen capacity. Why is that a big deal? Well, it’s a big deal because when a kitchen is struggling to keep up, it will do one of two things: fall way behind, or rush plates to keep people from waiting. In our experience, the latter was true. Second: Poorly executed dishes - and simple dishes at that (pancakes and waffles) - and servers that were teetering on the edge of exasperation (since they missed one of our orders entirely, and were completely incredulous when we said we were missing an order of waffles). I ordered the biscuits and gravy… which arrived as two extra doughy (aka underbaked) biscuits and a “gravy” (that looked and tasted like something Tostitos would make for a party dip) shlopped on a plate that was about 4 inches too small for the half-gallon of Tostitos Slerm… the poor biscuits looked like two undiscovered islands in an infinite expanse of khaki colored gruel. Call me old fashioned, but this “modern twist” may have sprained the...
