I haven't been the tis restaurant for over a year, and boy was I disappointed. I ordered the Chicken Curry and did notice a sign stating that if you wanted snow peas on an order, it would be $2 extra. That is insane. Usually they give you 2 or 3 on your plate, but I was warned, so that is not the point. The small lunch plate had a pile of thick cut, mushy carrots (1/2 to 3/4 thick) and large potatoes (about 3/4 in cubes) with 4 small pieces of bell pepper and some onion. The sauce itself was ok, but whoever decided on large chunky vegetables needs to re-think it. It was terrible. The egg roll was also not appealing. It smelled like it was cooked in very old grease, so I passed. I would love to say that the service made up for it, but it didn't. The waitress seemed rushed and brought steamed rice even though I asked for fried. I'm sorry to say that this restaurant is crossed off the list of places...
Read moreA great find for a Thai / Chinese restaurant. Does not look like much on the outside and in fact I could not find a name on it outside but my GPS said I was there at this little red building.
Staff was very accommodating as we came in with a group of 11 people that kept coming in by 2 or 3 at a time. They somehow managed to keep the orders and bills straight too, and get most of the dishes out at pretty much the same time nice and hot. The one tofu dish took a little extra time.
Food was really good. Best Chicken Pad Thai I have had in about 5 years and some really good Phenango. Everyone else seemed very pleased with there dishes as well and the egg drop soup wascca very tasty. Prices were very good as well.
I highly recommend this place and it has been added to my frequent dinning list...
Read moreLaid-back, homey atmosphere but top-notch food! My husband and I got the satay appetizer and loved it. My husband got the phanang curry and said it was different from other panang curries he's had but it grew on him as he ate it and decided it's among the -- if not THE -- best. I got the kang keow wan (green curry) and it was amazing! Probably the best I've had. It's close to the style of green curry at Ninja Ramen (in Corpus), but better. The Thai tea was also very close to how it's made by a family member of ours from Thailand. I'm not an expert but this restaurant seems very authentic and closest to the homemade Thai we've had. The service was wonderful. We definitely recommend and we will be returning. Thanks for the...
