Will never eat here again! We lived in Ingleside for 11 years and ate at Asian Garden many times during those years. We moved to another town a year ago & decided while in town to eat here again. I have ordered the same meal Chicken Pad Thai w/ cilantro, for years & this evening I did too. My husband ordered Cashew Chicken. The order came out with me receiving Shrimp Pad Thai, no cilantro, because they put the cilantro on my husbands plate, which should have been called Cashew Bell Peppers. His plate had the equivalent of a whole bell pepper and very little chicken. And mind you, even though he despises cilantro, he was ok with me just pulling it from his plate and putting it on mine. I got the servers attention, to tell her that I had been given shrimp, when I asked for chicken. She acted so irritated with me, as she took the bowl to the back. About 5 min later she comes back with my Chicken Pad Thai, which has a bunch of cilantro thrown on top that has not been chopped whatsoever. I had to pull it out and attempt cutting with my fork and butter knife. So I finally get to start eating. The sauce in the noodles is SO SALTY that I can not eat it. So I pull the pieces of chicken out and eat it with my fried rice. When paying for our food, I ask to speak to the manager. I’m being discreet when I tell her that we were not happy with our food experience and that my food was extremely salty and I couldn’t eat it & that my husband’s food had way more bell pepper than chicken. She shrugged her shoulders and said, “ok I will tell the cooks.” I finished filling out my debit transaction and then said to her, “right there would have been a good time for you to say I’m sorry you had a bad experience.” Maybe is there anything I can do to make it right, would have been nice too. She shrugged her shoulders again and said in a snotty voice, “I’m sorry you had a bad experience, but I’m busy with something else right now and wasn’t really listening to you.” I turned around and left & decided to tell the story here. But this place has seen the last of us and anyone in our family. Side note: we arrived at just after 5pm. There were 3 other tables with a couple at each. 4 people working the front & at least a couple...
Read moreWe found this restaurant on a whim and decided to look it up online and since the reviews looked great , we decided to try it out. First off we noticed this restaurant is busy which is a good sign. Due to covid environment we place order by phone and pay inside then they bring out your order to your car in thr parking lot. The menu is small and limited offerings but boy do they specialize in their menu items. We both decided to try to pad thai as entry level for a new restaurant and both of us were not disappointed one bit on our first visit. The portions are large and a great value with excellent pricing. Both our pad thai, one with shrimp and the other with chicken were filled to the top of the take away containers and beautifully garnished with julienne cuts of fresh vegetables. There was about 10 shrimp in my pad thai and generous portion of chicken in hers. The noodles are seasoned to perfection the chicken and shrimp cooked perfectly and equally seasoned. All the accompanied veggies were crisp, fresh and delicious and the noodles were appropriate and cooked properly. We were definitely delighted with both our meals. We've returned several times already and will continue to be patrons of this restaurant. I would of given 4 stars if only the dishes were just a bit more consistent because weve noticed that either the cook is different or they get busy and the consistency of the presentation and flavors can change on occasion.
Update: had to take away the 4th star due to more inconsistencies in their restaurant. Today i received vermicelli on my pad thai instead of the rice noodles, i returned the take out and they replaced it with a really sad looking remake, i hope they take care of these issues because there is real potential but ifbthey keep this up i will probably rethink my review.
Also make sure you thoroughly check your takeout orders before you leave as they get sloppy occasionally give you wrong ingredients or forget to...
Read moreHungry people should be taken seriously. Ive given the girls in the front of house so many chances to "get it together." What's important here is that people are hungry and the girls in front of house just don't care as proven by the repeated simple mistakes that nobody deserves. And would you believe that in all of those chances, not once have I ever been offered a free item or my meal paid for for their rudeness that is continuously repeating the same mistakes for the same customer over and over again. It is now clear that this done to me personally because my name is attached to each of those orders. Ive only ever ordered for pickup. I've adjusted the time frame in which I order to see if that might help but it's very clear that I can never, EVER get what's promised to me when I place my order. I've modified my order from dinner plates to a simple combination fried rice and, nope, still can't get it right. Today I decided to order early so when I went to pick up my order the same girl who promised it would be ready admitted to forgetting my order in her notepad and never passing it on to the kitchen proving that it is just simple neglect. The kitchen is always...
