Little Belize restaurant was my first time having Belizean food. In fact, it was my first time eating anywhere in Inglewood. But the drive was worth it. Eating here realized that Belizean food might very well be my favorite among the Central American restaurants. I'm surprised of how much Caribbean influence was in this meal, and was somewhat similar to Jamaican food, but with a Latin twist. The garnachas here were amazing, so crunchy and flavorful with that awesome bean spread. The chicken tamale was also amazing. They had a whole chicken leg inside the tamale. It was better than most tamales I've had in Mexican restaurants. And finally, the chicken stew. Amazing. The meat falls right off the bone. I cannot say enough good things about the food here. If you are in the downtown Inglewood area, then be sure to check out Little Belize. I shot a YouTube video of my eating experience here, which you can see on my channel called Rockstar Eater.

We had a bit of a walk from the K line Inglewood station to the Forum for a concert and decided to stop for dinner nearby and I’m so glad we did! Inside felt very welcoming, but we decided to sit outside since the weather was so nice. We split the meatball stew dinner with rice and beans and the salbutes with chicken and we will absolutely be coming back for more! It was all so fresh and tasty, generous portions, and the hot sauce they had on hand was perfectly spicy and flavorful. I wish we came with a group because it would be perfect to order family style! I can’t wait to bring folks so we can sample more of their dishes! I think the owner was the one who served us and she was so kind to prep everything in to go boxes because we were short on time. The photos don’t do it justice!

I order breakfast chicken and grits side was tortilla and my 2nd order was stew chicken with beans side was fryjack Omg nasty why would they put the 2 little piece of chicken wings in the grits The grits was half cooked the flour tortilla was broken crumble and flat The 2nd order with the 2 little chicken wing and beans was ridiculous My napkin are supposed to be for wiping my hands well the napkins had gravy all over it . Why would they take peoples money and serve nasty unorganized food for someone to eat I did not feel like I went to a restaurant to get food feel like I went to somebody house kitchen that don’t know how to cook This was a disgrace I put the grits in the trash and ate one of the chicken waste my time and my money !

I went to Little Belize for lunch on March 21, 2023. I had never been there before so, I was looking forward to trying it. However, I soon ended up regretting it.

I was instructed to scan a QR code to access the menu online. Once I found an item that I wanted, I asked some questions and decided to go ahead and place my order. After I paid for my order, I was given my receipt. I checked it and noticed that I was charged more for one item than the price I had seen listed. I immediately told the cashier and asked for an adjustment. I was told that she could not do it because she was not the main cashier. So, I asked who could issue the refund and I was finally told that the person should be back soon and to speak to her about it.

As soon as I saw someone I had not seen before, I went up to the counter and asked if she was the person that I had been told was able to assist me. She told me that she was the person. So, I told her what I purchased and that the price I was charged was more than the price listed. I showed her the discrepancy and she told me that she could not give me a refund. I asked her why not and she said that they do not give refunds. Then, I mentioned that most businesses do issue refunds, if the customer is charged more than the price listed because, it is misleading. She boldly refused with an attitude, saying that they do not do that. At that point, I said, "Then, that is not good business because that means that you can just charge customers whatever you want and there is no way for the customers to know if you are ripping them off or not." She replied, "Yes," with a nasty, bold, cocky attitude (as if it was acceptable to do that). I told her that doing that was not right and she tried to argue with me. That is when I asked to speak with a manager and she told me that the person was not there. I questioned the fact that there was no one in charge. She told me once again that no one was there and offered to take my information and have the person call me. I was a bit surprised that she had offered to have the person call me, especially with the attitude she had. I thought to myself, "Since I was not backing down, she had probably figured out that offering to have someone call me back would be the only way to get rid of me." Unfortunately, I was right! I gave her my information and anticipated a contract within at least 48 hours, yet I have not heard from anyone to this day. That, in my opinion is really bad business! The food was alright. It was not the best that I had ever tasted but, I would have probably returned had this issue not come about. But, at this point, I am saying that I do not trust this place or the people running it/working there or any of the food and products that they are selling. There is some really questionable business going on there. Do not trust this company or spend your money there. There are more reputable places around with much better food quality and...

I had a rather disappointing experience at this restaurant. I initially liked the place, but my recent visit left me feeling frustrated. I attempted to call in my order, but they informed me that they don't take call-in orders, which was a bit inconvenient.

Undeterred, I decided to walk in and placed my order, being told it would take 15-20 minutes. To my dismay, an entire hour passed, and my order hadn't even made its way to the kitchen. I even suspect that my dish may have been given to another customer due to the confusion among the staff, which was honestly laughable.

The lack of communication and efficiency was disappointing, to say the least. It's disheartening when a restaurant can't even fulfill a basic order within a reasonable time frame. My experience has left me with the impression that they are clearly incompetent when it comes to managing orders and ensuring customer satisfaction.

I won't be dining in at this place anytime soon, and I hope my feedback helps them understand the need for significant improvements in their service. The experience felt disrespectful and demeaning, and I believe they should take this feedback seriously to avoid disappointing more customers...

Went here many months ago for breakfast. Ordered eggs. “Sorry, we’re all out.” OK can I get a coffee? “Sorry, we’re all out.” I couldn’t believe a “restaurant” open for breakfast could possibly have run out of eggs AND coffee. That was enough for me, and I bounced.

Today I decided to give them another shot. They are a local Black-owned business after all. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt I guess. Ordered the stew beef breakfast and tamales. “Sorry, we’re all out of tamales.” OK bring me the stew beef. 20 minutes later the server comes back. “Sorry, we’re all out of beef.” WTH?! OK OK. How about the stew chicken and grits? “OK.”

She brings me the chicken served with watery, soupy grits, and a fork. Can I get a spoon? “Sure.” But the spoon never comes. When she brings the check she asks how everything was. I reminded her she never brought me a spoon to eat my watery grits with. “Oh yeah. We’re busy today and the dish washer is out. We don’t have any spoons.”

There is no benefit, and no doubt. Local Black-owned business or not, I’m NEVER going back. I’d rather stay home and cook. At least I know how to wash a damn spoon!...
