I've been a devoted patron of Rusty Pot Cafe since its opening, and even though life got busy, I recently revisited this gem in Inglewood, California. To my delight, the Rusty Pot Cafe hasn't missed a beat, maintaining its reputation for excellence.
Everything about my recent experience was wonderful, from the warm ambiance to the spectacular service. The staff's attention to detail and commitment to providing a memorable dining experience truly stood out.
One highlight of my visit was the Fried Catfish – a culinary masterpiece! The crispy coating gave way to succulent, perfectly cooked fish that left me savoring each bite. The Chicken Wings were equally impressive, boasting just the right balance of flavors and spices. What set them apart, besides their deliciousness, was their appropriate size – a refreshing departure from the over-sized wings found at a certain place on LaBrea and Coliseum. It seems some places believe in quantity over quality, but Rusty Pot Cafe proves that the perfect size can elevate the entire dining experience.
In a city filled with dining options, Rusty Pot Cafe continues to be a shining star, reminding me why I became a fan in the first place. If you're in the Inglewood area and craving a dining experience that combines culinary excellence with exceptional service, Rusty Pot Cafe is the place to be.

Read moreI had a take out of the classic w/ fried chicken wings, grits and toast. Do you know what it's like to still be hungry after you have eaten. Now that should not occur after having a high calorie breakfast that I just ordered. Well, that was me! the chicken wings were so small I am certain they used the wings from a cornish hen (I normally have a whole or half cornish at Thanksgiving.) Yes, so small the three wings made up one average six chicken wing. I was so HANGRY I didn't think to take a picture. $23 plus a tip. I have to remember to check my order before I accept my take outs. I try and support the small businesses but come on now. Rusty Pot-you should be serving up portions that represent soul food style portions which is not minimum. From the taste that I had the chicken had flavor -the grits a small portion -I barley filled up a 1 cup were cooked good the scrambles eggs were overcooked and the toast -toasted- good Good food cooked from an old pot. I am so upset and in disbelief that your cooks served those TINY TINY chicken wings. I know this economy is tuff But! DO BETTER. If I ate her often I would go broke and still be. NORMS...
Read moreI'm going to give the rusty Pot Cafe 3 stars. And here's why the waffle that I ordered was really great the rest of my order which was a scrambled egg with cheese and green onions and post was just okay my issues at the waitress never came around to see how my order was or if I needed anything. I had to flag her down and ask for things extra. It's not like it was busy or overly crowded I was there at 8:05 when the doors open and there's another family ahead of me and one of the guy that came in after me. So I understand that she was the only one working the tables three tables but she never came around to check to see if I needed anything or requested anything. The food was brought promptly and was hot when I got it but I'm still giving it three out of five four customer service. Well I go again probably not because I have other options in the city that serve breakfast with better customer service. I was hoping to really love to play since I live not too far from it and wanting to make it my regular stop for friends and family but we'll just keep heading...
