Updated Review I felt I needed to update my Review as my attached photo may now be misleading. For context in my attached photo I ordered what used to be their large. Everytime ive come to this cafe Ive ordered the Large Hibiscus Cloud Matcha Latte (it's really very good). However I went again for the first time in a couple of months and once again ordered my "usual" however I was quite surprised to see that what used to be considered a "medium" (which is 16oz) is now being considered a "large". But a 16oz cup is no where near what one would consider as large and their menu says nothing about this rebranding of the size. Because they have pretty much removed human interaction from the ordering process there should at least be some sort of prompt letting people know that they can expect their drinks to be smaller than what they previously were. Ive removed a star because this is really misleading and kind of feels a bit dishonest and I hope that my review will encourage management to more clearly state the drink sizes on the menu. I feel that if they are going to be playing around with the sizing they shouldn't label their sizes "large or medium" they should instead label them by the Oz of the cup. So "16oz" or "22oz" this way a customer may ask to see the cup if they need help deciding on what size.

For the Hibiscus Cloud latte there is no option to select medium or large. The only option is "large" but the "large" is being put inside of their medium cups. Unfortunately I dont see myself ordering this drink again until this is fixed.

Aside from that, I love their late hours.

original review Super cute place! The staff was welcoming and friendly, the back area is so cool! Will definitely be back with my laptop to work, there was plenty of seating and outlets. I ordered the Hibiscus Cloud Matcha latte, very tasty and would definitely order it again. I'm also excited to try some of the other unique items on the menu. Definitely recommend

I have been a huge supporter of this business and referred 20-30 ppl to this business because of their delicious lavender lattes and I would frequent there 3 times a week. Well today I got a rude AWAKENING by one of the owners. For over a month I had been checking in with one of the male owners who informed me that they were opening up a yoga space, he told me the first week of April I could look into taking a tour because I was interested in hosting an event. Well I went in last week asked about if it were open to book or to tour and one of the baristas said yes and directed me to the kiosk. I saw where I could book it but not the tour of it, so she told me to schedule a tour and just mark in the notes yoga space. I did as she instructed. I scheduled tour for today. As today got closer I got my email reminder and everything. I drove from Long Beach and arrived 15 min early. I walked up to the counter, one of the female owners acknowledged me and I stated I had an appointment for the tour of yoga room. She looked on her schedule then looked at me and stated ‘Oh I’m not able to accommodate you with your tour request. I said why I made huge adjustments to my day and traveled far and through traffic, and she was like sorry. I said is there a reason. She gave me no reasoning nor did she opt for another day or time. She just shrugged her shoulders and said no. I became triggered and let her know that I’m one of the biggest supporters of the business. She said thanks for the business but you can’t tour the yoga space. Hence I’m here writing up reviews of disdain. I felt she profiled me and definitely a sense of racism by the way she addressed me regarding the yoga studio tour. I was disappointed and slightly hurt. I will never invest another dollar in the white owned establishment. They are in OUR City of Inglewood taking our black dollars but not valuing us outside of ensuring that we pay into their establishment capitalizing off of our $ and talents. I now...

Drinks are great, baristas are very kind and accommodating. Even the manager will make drinks and check in to see if everything is okay/made right. My only issue with the drinks is that as of this week, there seems to be some issue with adding cold foam to drinks that don’t already include it. Not sure why but the baristas have mentioned now twice that they aren’t allowed to offer cold foam on my drink even when I put it in the notes. Small issue, nothing to harp on but it’s random and recent.

The naughty avocado croissant sandwich is pretty good if you need something somewhat hearty and are vegetarian. The pastries have potential but they often come out overcooked and burnt.

Re: the vibe…the music. The music is so bad, and it’s extremely loud. The environment is already distracting (for me) with the lights/colors, randomly placed furniture, and half outfitted garage. Pair that with the pop rock music and it’s just unbearable. I usually get my drink and immediately leave, not a place I can work unfortunately. I’ve tried to come meet friends for a cuppa here and I almost always leave with a headache.

Awakening Team, thank you for everything and welcome to the neighborhood. If possible, please invest in Spotify/Apple Music/Youtube and put on playlists that are actually conducive for a cafe. Whether folks are grabbing a drink and taking a quick call, or planning to work there all day - the music shouldn’t feel chaotic. At the very least please lower the volume so you all don’t have to scream over it when folks arrive/drinks are ready. Otherwise keep up the amazing work with the...

This is our third visit 3rd day in a row and we typically like to explore different coffee shops but Awakening kept calling us back so that says a lot. On our third visit we had two Paradise Lost lattes and they were sublime. A perfectly well balanced sweet & creamy, hot & cold mix with subtle notes of espresso. You can tell they put real effort into the drinks, they don’t just toss espresso with milk and pumps of syrup. On our first visits we had the Heavenly Cloud Latte, an iced latte slightly sweetened with maple syrup and with a beautiful foamy and creamy top that sandwiches the espresso in the middle. Previously we had Jack’s Ginger Tonic, a refreshing and slightly spicy bubbly drink that’s a thirst quencher. It’s like the adult version of a lemonade, and probably much healthier too. The ordering system is something I would love to see at other shops because it gives you the time to browse the menu without the pressure of being on the spot at the register. Also we liked that we could go to the back after placing the order and grab a seat, then receive a text message when our order is ready for pickup. So there was no need to hang around the bar & wait. The sun was setting and the patio looked amazing and warm. I really like the ambiance here, it’s energetic thanks to the upbeat music but at the same time this is the kind of place I would love to study or get work done. They have outlets at most of the tables, but also there are no distractions like orders being called out or people walking in and out all the time. It’s chill enough while still being able to socialize.
