If you want great Ethiopian food, this is the place for you. It is real Ethiopian food and you will feel like you are there. They don't try to Americanize it, it is just great. When you walk in you are over taken by the wonderful smell of spices and fresh food. You just want to eat and eat a lot. They have a great menu and there is not a bad thing on it.

Many of the dishes comes with the traditional flat spongy bread that you use to eat your food. I think they have forks if you want, but the bread is the best way to eat this magical food.

Queen of Sheba is in a little strip mall and it does not look special on the outside, but wait until you walk in. Parking can be trying. There is a lot right in front but there are a few places in this little mall. None the less, give it a minute and spot will open. Cars come and go pretty fast. There is also some street parking but mind the signs--those tickets are expensive. It is right on La Brea, a big street that goes for the most part north and south. Just stay on La Brea.

The inside is warm and relaxing. You are never rushed and the service is perfect. They will help you with the menu if you need. They get your order right and it is served so pretty and hot.

We love their Doro Wet Chicken stew which is just chicken stew slowly cooked in a rich flavor of herbs, spice and chili. I have to eat mild food now and they are always able to help me out. I miss the spicier food, but my body says don't even think about it. Their Chicken Tlbis White is melt in your mouth wonderful with lots of chicken fried in purfied butter and seasoned so wonderfully. Also, try their Vegetarian Combination which is a delightful combination of yemesir wot, yater alicha, gomen, cabbage and salad. You can't go wrong with any of these dishes.

My grandson loves their penne pasta which is made in Ethiopian style pasta and sauce. It is a great way to start a kid off with Ethiopian food. He always orders it. I prefer the more traditional dishes.

The prices are fair and you get a lot of food.

I saw this place had just opened up and Ive tried almost all the places in fairfax. I wanted to try a new restaurant so I thought I'd try Zula. But here's the thing I've taken my brother to two places in Fairfax and lets just say he disliked Ethiopian food. I told him just try it a third time maybe it'll be better. Well, third times a charm. He loveddd it. Zula's meat platter was on point. We ordered the veggie combo, gored gored and zilzil tibs which are pretty basic stuff you will see on most Ethiopian restaurant menus. The veggie combo was decent, I couldn't really differentiate it from other places so not anything special. But what I'm raving about is the meat!!! Omg the spices are on point. It was so flavorful, I didn't even need extra mitmita (chili powder), which by the way, I always put on the injera (bread) with every bite. It was delicious and I consider it to be a comfort food. Also prices are average not too expensive like meals by genet. Worth every penny. Will be going here again to try the raw beef they only serve...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Queen Sheba in Inglewood, California, and I must say, it's a true gem! The food is absolutely delicious, and the hospitality is top-notch. As a huge fan of Ethiopian cuisine, I was blown away by the authentic flavors and generous portions.

The menu offers a wide variety of traditional Ethiopian dishes, and I was impressed by the attention to detail in every aspect of the meal. From the tender meats to the perfectly seasoned vegetables, every bite was a delight.

What truly sets Queen Sheba apart, however, is the exceptional service. The staff are warm, welcoming, and happy to answer any questions about the menu or Ethiopian culture.

If you're a fan of Ethiopian food or just looking to try something new, Queen Shiba is an absolute must-visit. I've never had a dining experience quite like it, and I couldn't recommend it more highly!

A welcoming little slice of life very close to what you’d expect in Addis Ababa: Ethiopians linger here to dine, make business deals, drink rich dark coffee in demi-tasse cups, watch their soccer teams on the flat screen, exchange bits of ET gossip over shots of honey wine: “tej.” Plates are very pleasing, perhaps doro wot is where you might begin. Chicken in a spicy sauce, surrounded by heaps of tasty lentils, greens, perhaps a hard boiled egg (optional) to be shared with your table mates. Injera, a flat bread, something like a tortilla, but made more like a pancake & made by hand from millet flour is served with every dish . You don’t need table ware. Injera is meant to be scooped through your dish, picking up the delicious flavors of the beef, lamb, chicken or fish entrees. There are plenty of vegetarian options, as well. As a cultural norm, the first scoop with sauce is fed to your loved one or your friend. By you. It’s a kind & wise tradition. Take care of others. Pay it forward.
