Two kiosks were closed or not working and there was only one employee at the counter. We ordered through the kiosk. Waited about 15 minutes for our food. Granted, it was lunchtime so I understand that it was busier. The poor cashier was taking orders at the counter, taking food out to people in the restaurant, and taking food out for the curbside orders. There would be a line of people waiting to order and he would have to leave them to walk the food outside for curbside. We went to find a table and every table was dirty. We sat at one semi-clean table (had some crumbs but not any dried stains) and my son pointed out all of the dead flies on the sunblocking screen. We moved to a different table. I went back to the counter to ask for a rag. No one was at the counter. Several employees looked at me but never spoke. The guy that had been at the counter, came in from walking out a curbside order. I told him all of the tables were dirty and could I have a rag to wipe one down. He said "they're all dirty?" Yes. He wiped down our table and a couple other tables around ours. I ordered the spicy chicken wrap. I thought that the spicy chicken wrap was a playoff of the previous spicy snack wrap, but with a little more spice. I could not taste anything except the spice. My son ordered a quarter pounder without cheese. There was cheese melted onto it. I looked back at my receipt to confirm that it was ordered correctly. It was. We also needed ketchup but by this point there were more people waiting to order so we just decided to wrap the food up and leave. My son went to the counter to ask for a bag. He tried to get a worker's attention. Several looked at him but did not speak. Finally, the cashier came back inside from walking out another order and grabbed us a bag. The positive of this is, the cashier was doing several jobs and doing them well. I am sure the restaurant is understaffed but at least acknowledge a customer standing at the counter. We usually go through the drive thru at this location and never have had any problems. I very well could have spoken with a manager about the food, but by this time, we had spent 50 minutes at McDonald's and had somewhere else to be. I am hoping that yesterday was just a bad day so we will be back, but may have to consider changing locations if we have the...
Read moreMcDonald's - A Sweet Tea Serenade at the Golden Arches Let me paint the picture: it's mid-afternoon, and I'm running low on energy, joy, and reasons not to eat my own steering wheel. I need something fast, something familiar -- something that understands me without asking too many questions. Enter McDonald's, the comfort food MVP of America. I pulled up, ordered with the confidence of a seasoned drive-thru warrior, and within moments -- BOOM - bag in hand, heart full, faith restored. Let's talk fries first: golden, piping hot, salted like the ocean -- but in a good way. They had that perfect mix of crisp and softness that made me briefly consider writing them a love letter. And the McChicken? Listen. For $2 and some change, this sandwich came correct. The lettuce was crisp, the mayo was generous (but not aggressive), and that chicken patty was fried to golden glory. It's like the sandwich knew what I was going through and said, "I got you." But the real star? That sweet tea. Oh baby. It was cold, bold, and sweeter than a Southern grandma's goodbye hug. Not too syrupy, not too weak - just the kind of sugar-kissed brew that makes you close your eyes and whisper, "Yes, Lord." Also, shoutout to the drive-thru crew. Fast, friendly, ano efficient. The woman who handed me my bag made eye contact and smiled like she knew I needed this win today. And she was right. So no, this wasn't a five-star steakhouse experience. It was better. It was real. It was reliable. It was McDonald's. And for a few glorious minutes, I forgot all my worries and just vibed with a McChicken and a cup of...
Read moreI wish I knew who manages and/or owns the Inman location. How anyone can run any business so terribly is astounding. There looked to be at least 10 employees behind the counter and none of them knew what to do in order to make things run smoothly. I ordered from the kiosk where it tells you to have a seat with a number placard and someone will bring your order to you. Since the receipt printer was empty, I got nothing that told me my order number. So I'm sitting at my table just waiting for my order, and after almost 20 minutes, a fellow customer asked what I ordered, I told him, and he said he thought my order was sitting on the counter. I ordered it "For Here," not "To Go." Yet, there it sat, part of my order, in a to-go bag. I got up to get my bag and I was missing my daughter's sundae and my drink. It took me another 5 minutes to get anyone to pay enough attention to me so I could ask for what was missing. When I finally got my drink cup, I tried to get ice, and the ice machine was broken. I finally got one of the dozen or so employees to give me a cup of ice. I went to get the tea I ordered, and I was "shocked" to discover there was no tea at all. This was a terrible experience at what should be a well oiled machine, if someone with managerial skills would delegate the right people to do the things that need to be done, or lead by example and do them when they're needed. I will save myself the trouble from now on and choose the Burger...
