We decided to go to pizza pub tonight, have never had a bad experience until tonight. We were served by Brianna F, she’s a sweet girl but we felt ignored and the service was wayyyy below standard. We ordered boneless wings, a burger and a salad. There were less than ten full tables in the whole restaurant and we were there for over an hour. Initially the wings we got weren’t boneless but that was an easy fix as we let the runner know when she brought them out. Another 20-25 minutes go by and she hadn’t even stopped by or spoken to us nor checked if we needed any refills. The whole time she was sweeping her section and talking to her co workers. She then finally came by after 30-35 minutes had passed asking if we were still waiting for our food in which we were so frustrated and disappointed. She then went to check on the food and came back to inform us that the burger we ordered was missed on the ticket but she brought out my salad. The salad had little to no dressing on it, the crispy chicken was almost cold and the lettuce was turning brown and I never got the breadstick that on the menu claims to come with the salad. Anyway by the time my salad came out we blatantly said can you throw the burger in a box and grab me a box for my salad and grab the bill. She just took her sweet time with no urgency and no desire to please. I got my box, great, but we were still waiting for my fiancé’s burger to come out and then once it did she saw we were wanting to leave but just came back to the table to ask if we wanted our bill even though I already told her that we wanted the bill and we made it clear we no longer want to waste our time but instead she continued to waste ours. Not to mention she knew there were issues and she didn’t offer anything besides a I’m sorry about that as she gave the bill. No offer to speak to a manager or even a small discount of taking off the drinks for the mistake. I know I come off as a Karen in this review but I myself am probably around the same age as a good chunk of the staff and I know and understand what it’s like to work in the food industry but what we experienced today was the worst which lead to us leaving no tip and neither my fiancé or I felt confident enough to speak to a manager but we felt that we should bring awareness to the situation in one way or another. We still love pizza pub and will be back but this definitely put a bad taste in our mouths. It felt like a great waste of time and money and ultimately was the downfall of the...
Read moreThe food here was really good but seems pretty expensive! It's a cool looking bar area with lots of TVs and the patio looks nice but unfortunately it was raining when we went so we had to stay inside. Our server was good. She was friendly and checked on us a couple times and got our orders right. We ordered 2 pizzas, a salad and an appetizer. The appetizer came out in a timely manner but then we sat for quite a while. Our server asked if we had gotten the salad and we said no so she went to check on that and came back a little later with the pizzas and was surprised we didn't have the salad yet so we just told her to forget about it at that point so she took it off the bill. Not a big deal but a slight inconvenience. My biggest problem with the place was the size of the booth we were in. First of all, the benches were so close together I felt like my knees were almost touching the people on the other side and I'm only 5'11. I could reach across the table and touch the person across from me. Being so close together, I had about 1 or 2 inches between my rib cage and the table and even one of the girls I was with who weighs about 110 lbs said she felt like she had no room. Also, for a pizza place the table itself was tiny. It was maybe like 30 inches wide by maybe 3 1/2 feet long? In a booth for 4 people? When our 2 pizza's came it was like playing tetris to try and fit them on the table and luckily it was only 3 of us otherwise the 4th person wouldn't have had room for a plate. At pizza places I feel like tables are usually pretty large considering the size of pizza but this place made me feel like I was trying to eat from an airplane seat. It almost seems like they cared more about fitting as many booths as they could in there rather than the comfort of the booths. I saw some bigger booths in the very back that looked more reasonable but unfortunately we were not seated there. I think this was probably one of the most uncomfortable booths I've ever sat in in all honesty.
In all, it was a decent place. Expensive as it was $120 for 3 of us. We did have drinks and some leftover pizza but still that seems like a lot. I understand it was just opened recently so I'm sure they will get better with time. Hopefully they do something about the tiny booths and tables but I guess only...
Read moreYou have to watch your bill,! they automatically add a 3% admin fee on your bill . This is not if you pay by credit card . This is just a 3% that you pay over and above because the owners would like to pocket more of your money . They don’t want to up their prices ,that would means their servers would get a bigger tip . No the owner just wants 3% on every ticket to benefit only themselves. In the end the server, takes a cut on their tips .
They can do it because we the customer are allowing them to do it . I will Not be giving my business to any restaurant that is going to add on an additional fee , just because they can .
Gov. Tim Walz signed the bill (HF3438) into law on Monday morning. It will take effect on Jan. 1 everywhere but metro area airports, which have until June 2025 to comply.
The bill’s authors say the measure will provide more transparency for consumers by forcing businesses to advertise the true price of a good or service, rather than listing a lower price while charging a significant service fee at the end of a transaction.
“If you need to pay something to get a good or service, you just have to be told up front what it’s going to cost,” said Rep. Emma Greenman, DFL-Minneapolis, who authored the bill in the House.
Restaurants and hotels may still charge a mandatory gratuity — which is different from service fees because the revenue goes directly to the workers, not to the employer — as long as the percentage is clearly advertised alongside any pricing information. “Health and wellness” charges or other fees added to restaurant bills would be banned, even if the proceeds are used to support wages and benefits...
