Tono Pizzeria + Cheesesteaks — Restaurant in Inver Grove Heights

I love cheesesteaks, and didn’t know there was a place close by until a neighbor told me about Tono’s. He said their sandwiches were phenomenal, so I had to try them immediately. They also had pizzas, which everyone else in the family wanted. I ordered online- their site was very intuitive and easier to navigate than most, especially for making substitutions and additions. I got a supreme with extra steak, and we also ordered the Bambino and two kid’s pizzas. The website said the order would be ready at 5:58, and being a busy Friday evening I was skeptical that would be true. I somehow arrived at exactly 5:58, and it was busy inside, but it seemed like everything was flowing smoothly because they had enough staff on-hand( seems like so many places try to get by short-staffed and it results in poor customer service and inaccurate orders). I was greeted immediately by a friendly, smiling worker, showed them my phone with my order number, and she gave me my food about 30 seconds later. The order was accurate, and the food was amazing! My sandwich was out of this world, and the bambino pizza was soooo good. The kids loved their pizzas, too, but I think my wife and I found our new regular orders there (will still probably try other pizzas, but that bambino was amazing). Finally gave Tono's a try today and am ashamed for not trying it sooner! I was greeted by extremely friendly staff who took my order promptly. They shared their lunch special with me which was absolutely fantastic but, I'll get back to that.

You order at the counter, are handed a table number and seat yourself. I sat in the booth which to be honest, the tables are a bit lower than preferred as the booth sits up fairly high but otherwise very comfortable. The place was clean, quiet, and had a nice atmosphere.

I patiently waited for my food which came out in under 10minutes (Philly Cheesesteak and fries) and it was so good! The fries were hot, fresh, crisp and seasoned to perfection! They even have a mini fridge next to the pop where I selected garlic aoili to dip my fries in at no extra charge. That aoili was so good! The Cheesesteak was hot, seasoned to perfection on a toasted bun. My taste buds were in heaven.

My only concern is that they were not packed. They should be. At all times. I would highly recommend stopping in! I believe my order (including drink) was under $15. They will be taking more of my money in the very...

With the raving reviews I was excited to try. I ordered the supreme Philly with steak, a sausage pizza and a pepperoni pizza. I wish I would have expected a ground beef Philly instead of "steak" as it says they offer. It was very disappointing. The cheese was basically nonexistent and they forgot the jalapeños. Fries were fries. Both pizzas resembled more of a cheesebread due to such little sauce my kids didnt even enjoy it.
