Wild Culture — Restaurant in Iowa City

I went there because I heard it was a fantastic vibe. And let me be clear the two bartenders were awesome, they were very attentive and nice! However, I was recommended the most expensive cocktail and it was horrible, I think I had maybe three sips of the champagne part (2 part cocktail) and a sip of the main before asking for a new drink. I wish I had gotten it off, or i'd even happly pay for the champange part bc I did have a few sips, bc it was a 17$ cocktail, which is insane for what it was. But in full transparency, I could have advocated harder for it off. What just really sucked was that 5 kids came in and went to the bar—like 10 years old. Which normally I would have nothing against a place for, bc that’s not there fault but the parents, but I swear I heard one of the kids call a staff member dad and grab her things form the back of the place—so yeah, then I hold it against the place. It’s a bar, it’s a more adult place. It’s a Friday at 7pm…If i'm wrong about it being connected to someone there than i happily change my view! which hopefully...

Wild Culture Kombucha is a hidden gem in Iowa City. This quaint little mom and pop shop has something for everyone. Beer, cider, coffee, tea, and of course kombucha and it was on tap! As someone who doesn't drink alcohol this was a refreshing sight. Many of the drinks served there were made by small local Iowa brewers as well. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was a relaxed coffee shop vibe with plenty of plants to keep the good energy up. I love this bar and the owner but after these most recent hires i’ve had horrible experiences. There’s been multiple occasions where I come in and will wait five minutes or more to even be greeted. I work work in food service and can understand the demand and frustration. However, the service I received eight months ago is completely different to the present. there’s a clear difference and urgency based off, who you are when you come...
