Domino's is usually pretty on-time and friendly, not just this one, but many others. As a delivery restaurant, it's pretty good. Speaking up for the drivers, as a former driver for a different location, tip them if you can. Nothing in their minimum wage pays the extra expenses for using their cars to drive food to YOUR home. Does gas, oil, new tires and other maintenance magically appear every night? No. (Talking to you, Angel Lopez.) Of course, if your driver is rude or otherwise disrespectful, do what you need to do. For the others, their wages pay for their own bills, often to feed their kids too. If they don't get enough in tips and spend the majority on gas and maintenance, it's not a worthwhile job. Soon, you'll have to wait an extra long time, pay even more for the food (to account for increased wages of hiring new drivers) or go get it yourself. You'll probably never have to worry about your food being messed with, but having a friendly driver goes a long way toward the occasional extra service. Oh, two more things. First - When they deliver, put your phone down for a few moments, say hello and treat them like a person - not just another faceless uniform. Second - mark your home well (both sides of the mailbox) and turn on the lights at night. You might be able to easily spot your address, but it's not so easy with all the different possible locations they have to see each time. Trust me, you'll get your food a little faster if they deliver to the correct address on...
Read moreI have a "Slice the Price" card, which I paid for and is a buy one large, get a large pizza for free deal. If you use this card, you have to call in to order to get the discount. So, every time I call what is supposed to be the Irmo branch number according to Google, I'm sent to some ordering person who is not at that branch, who after they ask me several questions and I finally tell them I'm using the card, then they transfer me to the actual local branch and I have to start over with my order, which is annoying. This evening I was transferred yet again, where someone was taking my order at the Irmo branch (he was a young male). I had a hard time understanding him. He never told me what I owed for my order. He just asked if I wanted to pay over the phone or when I picked up my order. I said "When I pick it up." Then he hung up on me! I'm really hoping it was accidental, but he was never exactly friendly throughout the order. He seemed unprofessional in more ways than one. So I guess I shouldn't be surprised he cut me off on the phone, but wow. What customer service! I love Domino's pizza, but I think my loyalty to buying their pizza might be over. It's not hard for me to move on. I like Papa John's...
Read morePlaced an online order for 2 thin crust pepperoni pizzas- I was a 1st time consumer but wanted to give them a shot. I received 2 thin crust cheese pizzas from contactless curbside and when I got home realized there was no pepperoni. I called the Irmo location and informed them that I ordered 2 pepperoni thin crust but only got cheese. I also expressed that this was the first time my family had ordered Dominos but I know I selected build my own pizza and added pepperoni. I was placed on a 45 second hold and informed that there was nothing the location could do because I placed the order online and did not call the store😳. I ordered online because the National Chain this location franchises under offers online ordering....at no time did a manager come to the phone to address my issue but it was rudely repeated to me that “since I placed my order online there was nothing the location could do”. Great 1st impression for a potential long term customer. Back to Pizza Hut and Marco’s we go! Customer service is everything! The fact that a manager wasn’t willing to address the issue speaks volumes. I was open to bring the pizza back and resolving it but when I was hung up on, that was no...
