Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Irmo

I didn't really have an issue with this Pizza Hut until the other night, so that's the only reason why they get a two star rating.

So, the other night, I place an order from the Pizza Hut app. No issues. No problems. Order arrives, and the guy tells me at my door that his manager doesn't want to make deliveries after dark at my neighborhood. And that's my issue how, Pizza Hut manager? Your guy owes money to someone out here?

Mind you, we have ordered more than a handful of times after dark before. So why the guy said it to me like it was actually my fault somehow is baffling. They've made bank off us since we've moved here, and you got a guy saying no delivery here after dark? Shut down your app for the night if you're scared of the dark. Don't tell the paying customer stupid stuff, because that'll make me not give you another zinc penny.

Here's an update: Now they won't deliver here at all, not even during the day. They say they keep getting robbed. Okay, fine, safety and all, but if the petite girl from Jimmy John's can deliver here after dark, perhaps y'all doing something wrong.

Edit: Okay, so recently, I've just been driving to this Pizza Hut to get our order, which I couldn't do before, and I've been good with that. The manager is awesome and knows me by name, so because of her, four stars. The food has been on point as well, so...

I wish I could give this Pizza Hut location zero stars. I ordered for delivery at 6:45 and was told it would take an hour and a half. Seemed long, but oh well. I called after we didn't receive our order in that time frame and was told our order was brought back to the store because they called and no one answered. I had no missed calls. They let me talk to the manager who didn't offer any kind of explanation but apologized and assured me they made us a fresh pizza and that it would be delivered in 10-15 minutes. Still no pizza. Asked if they had the right address thinking it may have been taken down wrong. Manager just said yes without asking me to verify our address. Still no pizza. Called again. Manager started reading off an order that was nowhere near what we ordered, he then looked through orders again and asked if we had wings. No. So finally verified our order and our address. I asked for a refund or credit and he told me they don't do refunds, of course I already paid by card over the phone. He offered me a $15 credit for a future order. 1) That is about half of the value of our order and 2) I will never be ordering from this location again. Three hours later. Still haven't...

Excellent, friendly customer service, employee working the cash register the Dec 1 2023 at 6:15pm gave me a genuine smile and was efficient and professional, she should be recognized. I liked that at this store they had a screen up on the wal saying names and time that pizza will be ready excellent touch. This store was also clean and bright appearing. The employees in the back wearnt wearing gloves but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt they washed their hands.

The pizza was okay, I feel like Pizza Huts quality in general across different stores in different cities has been declining a bit over the past few 3 or 4 years.....if corporate is cutting corners they need to stop. I feel like the all-around skimpyer, thinner crust, less sauce, much less cheese, and less toppings which all don't go out as far making the crust be more of the pizza than you want. Honestly though, it's probably better for us, Americans eat too much anyway, thinner pizza with less cheese is good for us and good for our arteries and good for the environemnt.....still though if I'm gonna splurg I want to enjoy it.
