Main Street Pizza - Iron Mountain — Restaurant in Iron Mountain

This is literally the best tasting and freshly made pizza me and my family has ever eaten. They make almost all their ingredients by hand. It definitely makes a huge difference to the quality and taste. You can not get this wonderful tasting sauce from any other place. I looked at literally hundreds of places in the last 20 years. The fact that it hasn't changed i that time is a testament to the quality and flavor. Yes they are usually extremely busy starting at 4pm daily.

The workers are extremely happy with their work. You can tell by their attitude which makes dinning here very pleasant. They play very up beat music from 80's and 90's. The music also is very PG-9.

The restaurant is very very clean. This includes the restrooms. The restrooms are gender specific. I couldn't find even a bit of dirt/sand on the floor in the restaurant. The tables were clean and extremely well maintained. All condiments were full. This was literally just after having a bus load of kids leaving just as I came in. IMPRESSIVE!!

They can now take Apple PAY and I personally verified that Samsung PAY works flawlessly. The cost of the 1-topping 16-inch pizza was $13.50 (most places max size is 14-inch and pizzahut charges $16.00 PLUS for 14-inch).

I had my pizza hot and fresh on my table in less than fifteen minutes. The pizza size difference ment that 2 pieces were almost equal to 4 on a 14-inch pizza. The amount of toppings were a bit MORE than double what I have gotten from Pizzahut and Dominoes pizza.

I personally recommend if you have never tried this chain from Upper Peninsula of Michigan that you find one of their 6 or 7 locations and...

I have only given 5 stars for 3 reasons. 1) the employees have always been polite. 2) they have really good pizza. 3) if something unfortunate happens they are really good at compensating for it proving that they care about there customers. However, this is the second time that I have ordered online and have been very disappointed by it. At the time of order Main Street called to confirm the order with me and said that it would be a 20 minute wait, even though on the order info it said 45 minutes. I thought that they took off 20 minutes because I live relatively close. After waiting for over an hour I called Main Street back to confirm with them that the order was for delivery. They responded that they put it in as pick up but after looking at it again they saw that it was for delivery. They appologized and discounted the total. They also provided a coupon for a free medium pizza which was very nice of them. Unfortunately, because the pizza sat so long before being delivered It is not very good which is sad because I was really looking forward to it. It still sucks that I have such terrible luck ordering online with Main Street it seems that I should just pick up from the store directly. I haven’t had MSP in a few years and was a little hesitant to order from past experiences (quite a few years ago) but I was in town for work and thought I’d give it a shot. I am completely blown away by the quality of the food and service of the delivery driver. For starters, I ordered double jalapeño and ham. There was so much jalapeño!!! Finally a pizza place that takes double toppings seriously. The pizza was cooked to perfection. The extras were all sealed in plastic bags and plates/plastic forks were provided without having to request them. The delivery driver (sorry i didn’t get his name) was genuinely polite and seemed thankful for my order. All in all, my previous hesitations are gone and MSP is now going to be my regular place when I stay in town. I strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a good pizza.
