Wild Horse Saloon — Restaurant in Iron Mountain

This is a really nicely decorated place, the inside is well done. I’ve gone here for drinks in the past and had a great time. Today I tried their kitchen food for the first time and have to say the food and service left a bad taste in my mouth.

Not only was I rudely told that I ordered my food incorrectly, the food itself was less than desirable and incorrect. I ordered with a meal with two others and the sentimate was same from all- undercooked and lacking favor.

Hopefully this will be corrected in the future, but until I hear otherwise I’ll pass on dinner here. To bad I had high hopes for this new...

We stopped in for a takeout pizza and had a couple of drinks. The place is clean and well maintained. Music videos on the screens are old school good selection of beer on tap as well as the selections in the coolers. Bartender was friendly, helpful and efficient and the atmosphere was comfortable. Our pizza order, large meat supreme and vegetarian thin crust. Great pizza even after a 30 min ride to get it home. The crust was crunchy, sauce tasty and the toppings ample. I had a pulled pork sandwich that was phenomenal. The pork was super tender and flavorful, and the bun was a wonderful soft centered but kind of crisp on the outside. Hard to explain but it's a must try! I also had some great fried pickles. We came in at 10 minutes to kitchen close and they had no problem getting us (group of 8) fed and taken care of. Cool atmosphere inside.
