Main Street Cafe — Restaurant in Iron River

Extremely slow! I moved to the Iron River area about a year ago and have visited this place at least 10 times. I have never spent less than an hour and a half here to get my food. When I stop anywhere for breakfast Im usually in somewhat of a hurry to start my day and get stuff done. Since Im always alone and have simple orders it shouldnt take more than half an hour total. Not here - go to Mc Donalds if you have any kind of schedule to your day Im warning you! Not only does the food come from the kitchen very slow the same waitress I always seem to get is very slow and not friendly at all.She definately has her own set pace and personal order of doing things. She never comes to check if everything ok or anything else needed. Not once. Most places see a single person with a basic order they get them in and out a little faster than big groups. No its been like 10 times now and the same thing here.It doesnt matter if busy or slow. I come in alone and wait 10-15 min before waitress decides to bring a menu.Another 10-15 min before she decides to come back for your order.Then the real wait...30-45 min to get the food while Im sitting there bored and alone.5 min to eat the food and another 20 min for her to decide to bring me the check if at all. Its been 3 times now that I got sick of waiting for the check I go to the register without and ask if I can pay now so I can continue my day. THE FOOD IS GOOD I will give them that. That is the only reason they got any stars or ever gave them more than 2 tries. Service sucks and I will not be back. I dont have hours to spend watching huge groups of tourists. I only want a quick breakfast and begin my day not...

My wife, my aunt, and I, were visiting my uncle and we stopped here for lunch. I had a bacon cheeseburger, my wife had a cheeseburger, my aunt, the shrimp basket, my uncle, the mushroom and swiss burger. All of us were very pleased with our meal. The fries were awesome and I had ordered a side of beef gravy which one doesn't always find as a option. Boy O' boy was that delicious to dip my fries in! The food came out of the kitchen quickly. The waitress was great... friendly and patient and checked on us through out our meal. Highly recommend this cafe. I've eaten here a few times and have never been...

Ordered fish fry today. Cod, fries, dinner roll and side salad with French and 2 diet cokes. My friend went to pick up. Said 30 min. Which is long for them. It took 60 minutes. I get the cod, 23 French fries, no dinner roll, no condiments, and a salad with no dressing. I call, I get were busy, I'm sorry come back and get it. I say I can't I'm in a wheelchair. That's why my friend picked it up. Again sorry. That's it. When covid was bad my family ordered him Brenda almost everyday to help her stay afloat. We didn't have to. But we did. You still need to check the order with the order...
