Pizza Roll! Yummo. I have been on a quest to find pizza rolls in Orange County like the ones I nostalgically remember from my college days in Austin, Texas. (Oh, how I miss you Double Dave's) The search is over. Chef Alex's pizza rolls are the best around without a 3hr flight back to the lone star state. His hot out of the oven pizza rolls are superbly paired with a warm flavorful marinara sauce that is killer. Cravings truly satisfied the pizza roll sized hole in my stomach.
Our family loves Chef Alex's pizza rolls so much that I requested them custom packaged for a birthday party so that each of our friends could have their own individually packed serving of pizza roll goodness. They came beautifully assembled and delivered hot.
But I can't just stop with the pizza rolls. Calzone! Ciao Bella. I've had at least 3 kinds, all tasty. Garlic chicken, BBQ chicken, and veggie marinara. You can also make special requests and modifications. Chef Alex is happy to oblige. Grab a couple of napkins because the sauce could cause them to be deliciously messy.
I've had other menu items but I'm not as enthusiastic about these: burger, gnocchi, garlic cheese roll, or spaghetti with meat sauce. Doesn't mean that you shouldn't give them a try. Everyone ought to taste and see for themselves. Their menu is extensive so be adventurous and explore something new to satisfy...
Read moreIF YOU’RE WONDERING WHAT A BOWL OF WARM MILK AND PASTA TASTES LIKE, LOOK NO FURTHER. I was craving fettuccine alfredo for lunch and this one was fairly cheap and close to me so I tried it. I wholeheartedly regret that choice. I have never in my life wondered what it’s like to eat pasta with a bowl of warm milk but it turns out I don’t have to anymore because I experienced it here. This “dish” was so shockingly bland and WET that I had warm milk sauce splashed all over my desk at work while I tried to eat. The chicken was just unseasoned sad white cubed meat. The garlic bread sure is bread but the seasoning had so many parts to it that they all feel cancelled out. It was also burnt but soggy at the same time!!???. I genuinely feel like I could do better with a bowl of ragu sauce, pasta noodles, and a microwave than whatever it is I got here. I mean their other food might be good but their fettuccine alfredo was terrible. For $16, I’m not expecting some grand meal but gosh, you’d think I’d get served a better dish than PASTA AND WARM MILK. Like why is it so bland!!!!!!!! There’s barely any hints of cheese or salt!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You’re going to give Kaiser a run for their money on hospital food!!!!! Because what is this!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the saddest food I’ve had in my...
Read moreAbsolute hidden gem! The atmosphere is comfortable, clean, and cozy, with fun 90's music playing lightly in the background. The owners and staff were so welcoming and kind, with fantastic service. And the food was some of the freshest we've tasted! With 7 people we tried quite a few items. The pizzas were so delicious, with the freshest ingredients, even our autistic son ate an entire personal pizza, which ia quite impressive for this picky eater! A few salads and soup were amazing, Pesto Pasta was a huge hit with our teen, and the wings were great! (And we are from Buffalo, home of the wings!) Hubby had the Mango habañero wings, and was really impressed. They were spicy, but not so much that the flavor was lost. Everyone in our party was impressed! We all highly recommend BJ's...
