Tanaka Farms Hana Field — Attraction in Costa Mesa

Such a great time with the family! Great place to bring kids.

The sunflowers were beautiful and bought the pass to cut 15 sunflowers ourselves and bring them home. My sunflowers had buds on them and bloomed over the next few weeks which was such a fun experience.

We came on a day that they were having a goat exhibition with goat owners from all over coming to enter their goats into competitions. There was also an animal area that is there on a normal basis with rabbits, chickens, a cow, an alpaca, and sheep.

There’s a kids play area that is all dirt with kid-sized farming tools like wheelbarrows, shovels, tractors, fake produce. My nieces loved this area and played there for a long time.

Very limited food options. We brought our own food and had a picnic at picnic tables. Worked...

Updated for 2023!!! They now understand that bus riders can't park. Show your bus pass or ticket. You still pay admission but parking fee is waived if you walk up and pay.

Past review: Ride a bus? This is not for you. No walk ups allowed. You can be dropped off by Uber or taxi or a friend but unless you live in the neighborhood with proof, you will not be allowed to enter if you arrive on foot. They don't even allow you to reserve unless you pay the $10 parking fee up front.

$10 to wander around, do the corn maze, visit the barnyard. Obviously extra for pumpkins...

Been to 3 different pumpkin patches in Orange County and now that pumpkin season is over, I give Tanaka farms Hana field an overall 10/10 for 2023. Parking was free and the staff working at this location were excellent. I had mom brain and didn’t read the fine print that I had to have a reservation at the time but luckily the nice lady who worked there saw my son and immediately let us through with no hesitation. They also had a variety of pumpkins to purchase which I went for the 3 for 12$ deal because inflation and all. All 3 of my kids received a pumpkin...
