Smart Kitchens — Restaurant in Irvine

The Smart Kitchen format was kind of weird at first, but once we actually got there and got used to it, it’s an interesting way to operate a group of restaurants and not bad. The issue for us was locating the place. We actually attempted to find it twice. The first time was at night time and we could just not figure out which one was the location. Its located in an industrial look park of warehouses none distinguishable from the next. The second time we realized we were driving around behind the location and found it. I placed a pickup order on 1/10/25 and was told that one of my items was not sold at the restaurant even though I had already paid for it online. The person at the pickup counter told me to reach out to chownow to take the charge off and get my money back for it. I did what they advised and I was told the next day by chownow that my refund was denied by this restaurant as they claimed that they gave me each item when that was a lie. I’m not upset that I didn’t get my item as things like this happen, but I am more frustrated at how this was handled and that there was no effort in making this right. I was on my lunch break and decided to come here with my friend for lunch. While ordering everything seemed fine . My friends order came out first and I was patiently waiting for mine. The lady comes out and tells me my order is a little late but should be out in 5 minutes. 10 mins passed, more ppl showed up and my order still wasn’t out . 15-20 minutes passed and I ask for an update .
