So I hadn't had chipotle in so long and I was excited to have some for dinner today rather than cook at home. Boy did I regret spending my money. So I asked for sour cream, they said they ran out. I asked for lettuce to top my food and they said they were out. I was like awww okay.. the asian cashier guy said "yeah this happens a lot so yeah...." Like get going.. I looked to my left and the tall guy with blonde hair was cutting romaine and I said oh he's cutting it up. The cashier said "yeah, no we're completely out" but he's cutting it up I can see it, I can wait till he's done and his response was "It's going to take about 25 minutes or longer I'm not sure if you want to wait that long.... " I replied okay no thank you so I walked over to grab my fork near the beverage area and the guy right behind me asked the cashier you guys ran out of lettuce? Then I hear the cashier ask the guy with the blonde hair hey is the lettuce ready he said yes and they served him lettuce .... Huh??? I went back to the cashier and said oh it's ready now that was fast, can I get some please? His response was "yeah you have to wait for him to serve you!" I'm thinking what the heck????? Is this a color issue ??? I'm not light skinned and I'm a woman . The man that was provided lettuce is fair skinned .... This seemed to me as a racial issue. So I waited for the guy to serve me aka the blonde tall guy. He didn't serve me nor acknowledged me. so the cashier seemed bothered by me looking at them patiently waiting and said okay I guess I will serve you. He then got distracted with placing an order in a cubby for online orders and I waited some more... Then the grabbed a cup and served me lettuce. I said thank you so much. He didn't respond. Lol like c'mon now!!!! I have never expected chipotle workers to have horrible customer service. I am amazed and rather get exceptional service down the street at jack n the box. Please re-train your staff. Many people would love to have a job at chipotle and go beyond the annoyed kid who is lazy and does not know how to...
Read moreI recently had a to go order at the Chipotle location on 6500 Irvine Center Dr, 92618, and I wanted to share my feedback regarding my experience. Unfortunately, I found a silica gel packet in my salad, which was quite concerning.
Silica gel is commonly used to keep things dry, but it's essential to note that it can be harmful if ingested. I felt it was my responsibility to inform the restaurant about this issue promptly. However, I was disappointed with the response I received from the General Manager, Shane.
Shane's response merely consisted of an apology and an offer to return to the restaurant for a refund or to call a general customer service number. I must admit, I found this response inadequate and somewhat dismissive.
My primary concern was the potential danger posed by the presence of a silica gel packet in the food, especially if it had been consumed unknowingly, potentially endangering someone's health, possibly even a child.
I believe such incidents should be reported to the public health authorities in Orange County to ensure food safety standards are upheld. Additionally, sharing this experience on social platforms could help raise awareness and encourage Chipotle to take further steps to prevent such incidents in the future.
Be cautious if you still...
Read moreStaff serving is quite nice. However food portions are way too small. This is on management’s direction. Bad direction. Got tired of asking for more. We stopped coming when my kid opened his bowl and said “is that it?”
Update: so we went back to this location again because kids wanted Chipotle. The staff did a great job. Both the young guy and the young girl were very pleasant and professional. Also, credit due to them since the portion was nothing like it was before. The portions were back to normal. It was super refreshing . Please keep it up Chipotle. We plan on coming back again.
Update: Wanted to give this location a fair chance as sometimes one bad experience doesn’t serve a bad rating. After about half a dozen visits later to this location the truth is it a hit or miss. Most recent time the portion was so small that my 10 year old who ordered steak, guacamole and rice not to mention sides, finished and was till hungry. That is very telling. Preordered so could not tell until it was too late. If ordering in store, you may have a better chance to ask for more, however that gets old real fast. So unfortunately not worth in my opion. Hope they can get things back on track. Small area location and not always crowded which is attractive but portions are too much of...
