This is an update to my previous review.

With the change in ownership, there have been many negative experiences.

First, when I called them a few days prior to an event, they said it would not be a problem to call about 30 minutes before closing to place my order. So, a few days later, I call them 40 minutes before closing to place my order and they tell me that they aren't taking any orders because they are closing and have other orders to fill. They didn't care that it was 40 minutes before and I had asked about it a few days before. So, that left me scrambling to find another place for my order. Worst customer service ever!!!!!

Second, I decided to give them another chance after about 7 months. Wow, I found out that they charge an extra 4% if you pay by credit card BUT, they don't tell you that. The way I found out was because I paid in cash and they lowered my price and told me that they charge an extra 4% when passing by credit card. For those that don't know about credit card fees, the average free is about 2.5%, not 4%.

Third, they reduced the size of the "2 Slices and a Drink.". The pizza used to be extra large, now it's large but the price is the same plus the extra 4%.

Well, they finally put the mask in the coffin. I'm absolutely fine with this place. Never going back.

The new owner lacks customer service, is nickel and diming you, and sneaks in a surcharge without...

You’re reading this because you’re asking yourself exactly how New York is Johnny’s Real New York Pizza.

Truthfully, it’s pizza. How can you possibly mess that up? It’s got quite an extensive menu but I came here to try a couple slices out so I ordered one pepperoni and one pepperoni with mushrooms added on. Each slice was $3.75 plus the extra $1 charge for the mushrooms. Like others have stated, I was a bit disappointed that they just had pizzas laying out under a heat lamp instead of putting it back in the oven for it to be nice and crispy again.

However, since I did order one of them with mushrooms they put that in the oven to heat up and it came out perfectly. I consider a good NY slice to be big, toasty, foldable, and cheesy. These slices definitely hit the mark so I’m giving them a good rating simply because of that.

Is it cheaper than most other locations? No, but you’re supporting a local business and not a commercial chain. I think it’s actually family owned and truthfully if they just reheated the pizzas they’d probably get better ratings.

The pizza is promising and worth giving a...

First TIME Trying This Pizza Place! Pregnant Wife Approved!!! Loved it.

I ordered not knowing there were bad reviews. It was a delivery order. I got scared after reading the reviews and wanted to cancel but it was too late. But then the pizza arrived. And it was delicious. All my worries were for nothing! My pregnant wife was happy! (Was ordered for her cravings) But boy, I enjoyed them too! They are thinner, which we both like, and we loved the flavor! It’s not like gooey arcade pizza, but it’s just the perfect amount. Yeah, the pizza wasnt hot by the time it arrived but we live far away.

I heated it up in the oven and it’s just amazing! It reminds me of the pizza I used to eat growing up. The place must have read all the bad reviews and actually tried to improve! Cudos to them.

But who knows, maybe it is hit or miss, so if you get a bad pizza don’t blame me lol. I loved it personally. It doesn’t taste junky either, no guilt like some other pizzas haha. Not greasy either.

9.5/10 pizza for me. Just need to heat it up a little in the oven. like 5 minutes in a 350 degree oven should...

My wife’s office recently tried out a local pizzeria, and she insisted I stop by for a New York-style slice. So, with some time to spare and an appetite to match, I decided to check it out. The moment I walked through the door, I could tell I was in for something special. The place is small but packed with charm—like stepping into a retro pizzeria from the past. The aroma of fresh pizza filled the air, instantly making me hungrier. Their menu was simple but full of tempting choices, and I ended up ordering two slices of their Meat Lovers pizza along with a cold Mexican Coke. Let me just say: the hype was completely justified. The crust was thin and crisp, the toppings were generous and flavorful, and everything was perfectly balanced—just how a true New York-style slice should be. That first bite confirmed what my wife had said: this place delivers. It’s not just good pizza; it’s the kind of slice that brings you back to classic pizza spots from the past. Safe to say, this has officially become my new go-to spot whenever I’m craving that authentic New York pizza experience.
